PSA - Alternate AH locations in SW and Org during the Dance Party event

Hello everyone, its that time once again as the AH Dance Party visits World of Warcraft once more. I made a similar thread on this back in January during the last one after noticing quite a number of players in /1 commenting on not knowing where to go to access the AH. I felt that it might be helpful to some to make another thread on this. If you already know about these alternate AH locations then awesome, but I know not everyone does so hopefully this will help :slight_smile:

Orgrimmar

Orgrimmar has Five Auction Houses total with only one being used for the AH Dance Party. Here is a map showing each location to easily seek them out.

  1. The one that everyone knows in Valley of Strength which is currently in Dance Party mode.

  2. The Second is in Valley of Honor right to the West of the Pandaren Camp in the large building by the pool of water. There are four different Auctioneer’s in this hut named “Auctioneer Vizput”, “Auctioneer Kuvi”, “Auctioneer Drezbit”, and “Auctioneer Zilbeena”.

  3. The Third is in Valley of Wisdom in the North-West corner (This is my personal favorite as there is a Mailbox, Bank, Guild Bank, and Auctioneer close to each other and its a mountable area). The Auctioneer is named “Auctioneer Sowata” and is located in front of a small Tauren Tent.

  4. The fourth is actually right next to the Orgrimmar Embassy in the remaining Goblin Slums directly north of the embassy. The Auctioneer is named “Auctioneer Fenk” and is located in a makeshift Goblin hut.

  5. Finally, the Fifth Auction House is in the Valley of Spirits in the Troll section, though I have personally never used this one. They are in the Central Two-Story hut along with a Banker and Guild Bank. The Auctioneer is named “Auctioneer Ziji”.

Stormwind

In Stormwind there are two location’s for Auction Houses with one being used for the Auction House Dance Party. Here is a map also showing these locations.

  1. The standard Trade District Location which is currently in Dance Party mode.

  2. The Second Location is found at the Dwarven District across from the Bank and right before the archway that leads to the Embassy. There are Four Auctioneer’s here by the names of “Auctioneer Hesse”, “Auctioneer Lauffer”, “Auctioneer Fitzgerald”, and “Auctioneer Jaxon”

Thoughts

I hope this post can serve as a reference and help some today and in the future and I hope to bring this thread back up next time we draw close to another Dance Party type event.

I also think that the Alliance really got the short end of the stick in terms of Auction Houses. Considering that during this event the Alliance only has a single working Auction House and that AH NPC’s can be killed it can be a nuisance. I feel like there is room for some more Auction Houses in the Mage District with a magical/wizardly theme to it similarly to Dalaran, Old Town with a shady back alley Rogue vibe, and maybe even one down at the Docks near where cargo is loaded/unloaded like a port Market of sorts. I think it would be nice to even things out a bit, I know its not the most important thing in the world and there are “bigger problems” that come first but this is just an observation/opinion :slight_smile:

I just wish they would put this in the least used AH and in SW it is most certainly the dwarven district.

I think near the park would be a good location.

That building down there could be opened up.

I don’t mind it being in the Primary AH for the dance party, personally, but I kinda wish that the Map had more features to make finding things easier in towns without needing to look things up outside of the game. While I get its inconvenient it is only one day and there are other AH’s not too far out of the way.

It’s interesting to think there are more Mini-Map filters (shown above) than there are actual Map/World Map filters and features. While its nice we recently got improvements to Quest tracking in BFA, ways to help navigate where we need to go to get to our destination, I feel like there are still QoL features missing from the main world map.

I think it would be great if several of the mini-map features were built into the Map/World Map. Things like displaying Vendor Locations, Mailboxes, Innkeepers, Auctioneers, etc on town maps and also allowing mouse overs to show the NPC’s name and title (IE things like “PvP Quartermaster”). It would especially be helpful during the start of new expansions when you are trying to familiarize yourself with a new hub city and where everything is located.

I didn’t mention the Park District only because it’s now a memorial to King Wrynn and those who fell to the Legion at the Broken Shore so, to me, it felt weird putting a place of commerce near a memorial site… but that is actually a pretty nice spot you pointed out there that I didn’t even think about.

SW could really benefit from some more AH locations in general though and I am surprised there is such a big difference between the two capital cities.

The alternate AH in Orgrimar is rat infested, smells like rotten cabbage, and is full of undesireables. :frowning:

Which one? There are 4 alternate AH’s in Orgrimmar, going to need to narrow it down for me :thinking:

I bet its the one next to the Orgrimmar embassy, what remains of the old Goblin Slums. Truth be told, I am 99% sure that the rats are a marketing ploy by the Goblins to increase Feral Druid traffic to their Auction House. Not sure where the Cabbage smell is coming from though.
