So for the first time in well over a decade I have purchased a Playstation console (the last one I had was PS2 because I prefer the Xbox style controller). Does anyone have any recommendations for PS3 or PS4 exclusives I should look at trying out? Already started playing Spider-man, and the first Last of Us is on my to do list along with MLB The Show 2020. Also what are my best options for using an asymmetrical controller? I’ve seen mixed reviews for the various third party controllers and Xbox One controller adapters, wired is not an option because my couch is way too far from my TV.
The Last of Us is very good, glad to see it’s on your list. It came bundled with my PS4 when I bought it a few years back. I’ve heard the Uncharted series by the same developer is also pretty good… haven’t yet played that myself though (they’re sitting in the living room, just haven’t had the chance to get them started).
Other exclusives that I’ve heard are good, but haven’t played:
- Horizon: Zero Dawn
- God of War
- Death Stranding
It’s not everybody’s cup of tea, but PS4 has a ton of JRPG exclusives if those are of interest. One of the highlights in that realm is Persona 5 for its sheer style which is showcased through its graphics, music, and even UI. There’s also Ni no Kuni 1 and 2, which look like a Miyazaki/Ghibli movie made playable.
Don’t have any advice on controllers, I just use plain old DualShock 4’s.

I’m hoping Hades gets released on consoles. It’s in early access on Steam, bit uses a controller. I’ve played it with my Xbox One controller, PS4 controller and Switch Pro controller, bit I ended up using my XBox controller the most.
Well, pretty much any PS3 game can be streamed on the PC with Playstation Now. (Not to mention PS3 Emulator’s exist)
As for PS4 Exclusives, here’s a list of the exclusives they currently have.

Horizon: Zero Dawn and Death Stranding aren’t Exclusive to the PS4 anymore.

Yea, Horizon:Zero Dawn just recently (well, 2 months ago) been announced and released for PC and theres a complete edition on Steam.
Edit: I meant to say Released, but i did found the announcement for it.
While i can recall an article or tweet that confirms Death Stranding is coming to PS4 and PC a while ago, i did noticed that theirs already a pre-order page on Steam for it. 
…Oh and Epic Game store.

Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy, you can watch the first 3 for story context if you really want to but it isn’t necessary, they haven’t aged particularly well lol
