You are going to sit here and tell me that a literal DEAD game in maintenance mode with a 10 man skeleton crew dev team that doesn’t have ranked PVP anymore, hasn’t seen a new raid in almost 5 years now and hasn’t gotten a new expansion since Dragonflight came out has a more compelling combat rotation then the “biggest” and bestest MMO on the market?
Strangely enough SWTOR however did make the same STUPID talent choices WOW did like making you take Power word Barrier OR ultimate Penitence or Ascendence OR Healing Totem….like Juggernaut has to take AOE Fear or one of their strongest DCDS. Guess who takes AOE fear now? Literally zero people
Who is Midnight even for? I quit SWTOR because of these things and the game being effectively dumpstered by EA What is the audience the devs are catering to with this “updated” gameplay?
The only addons I used was BGE, Big Debuffs, Threat Plates and Gladius later ArenaCore. Maybe the blizz new ui is acceptable for arenas but BGS are a literal dumpsterfire. If you use the default frames there is hundreds of minions on screen with lifebars you cant remove I tried already by unchecking minion nameplates but they still show up. All the friendly and enemy nameplates look the same and its just a mess. Random pointless buffs and debuffs on the lifebars etc…its ok for DPS just turn off ally lifebars but for healing its not feeling great…its feeling poorly.
Can the devs just let us change the color of ally nameplates with their AAA professional developed UI that people are collecting a paycheck to create or is this the final version? Inquiring minds would like to know?
btw I don’t mind rsham prune. The choice nodes are dumb but I went from having 47 buttons to 35. No video game characters needs 37 buttons to push thats just sillyness
divine sword man idc whatever tf its called lol basically I have like 5 attack buttons now. you get the idea yeah I forgot wake of ashes was there too. When the gameplay gets so dumbed down it makes my brain stop working….not that it works good to being with
Don’t be daft and don’t point fingers at other groups of the player base. Almost everyone I know personally who plays is in their 40s and 50s, and we hate the oversimplification of pruning. We’re all in this together.
It’s not for all 40 year old millenials, I’ve just seen a handful of threads on reddit that are like I’M OLD AND FORTY AND MY BONES ACHE THIS IS GREAT lol
I feel like the pruning hits differently for different classes. Some classes (enhance shaman being my favorite example) badly needed some pruning. Others, like Ret Pally and BM Hunter, were fine and feel boring now. It’s a mixed bag for me.
Pretty much complete opposite. I am almost 40 and this pruning is a joke. Anybody who has been playing for years doesn’t like this, and this was done to attract new younger players. You couldn’t be more wrong.
Button bloat was real, they needed to get rid of modifier abilities and talents by baking them into the base spell. Hitting A + B to make C do more damage or healing felt awful (I was a pres evoker this season). Problem is they pruned stand alone abilities as well and removing healer interrupts sucks. I went fron 9 click casts down to about 4 and healing cooldowns from 3 to 1 which has made the game very dull. Results in everything being on cooldown and just spamming a single button.
Given that you picked one of the simplest specs in WoW, I doubt this is a fair comparison.
Also, more buttons doesnt mean more complex. Arcane mage was like 3 buttons and had a billion conditionals on when you should cast which and was complicated as hell.
