The bee side quests are not main campaign.
It’s not like attunement was lol. That was pain. This doesn’t take long at all. 
they are marked as such, so is the Hemet questline. have 1000’s of sidequests, but make the campaign short and sweet. by your logic the campaign should end with the raid completion…
I finished TWW’s campaign and wasn’t max level so I had to go do extra side content just to hit max and get access to the max level campaign. I can’t imagine thinking it was too long.

Huh? I didn’t even mention questline completion.
I just said the bee quests are predominantly side quests.
Because that’s how the game frames it, which is totally blizzard’s fault.
It uses the shielded ! icons like main story quests do, and it even shows up with chapter headers in the quest log like main story quests do. The side quest with the demon hunter learning to use the void power by comparison does not.
They literally guide you with the quests. They go point to point.
And the dome quests are a weekly’s. The dh quest is not.
