Can this be a thing?
As long as I can turn it off and pretend itās not.
You donāt want to listen to someone eating cheetos while you craft in a hub city?
I was more thinking of screeching manchildren hooting on top of my corpse in PvP but yeah thatād be obnoxious too.
Iām picturing it being like in Bruce Almighty when the prayers start building up in Jim Carreyās characterās head, driving him nuts.
Is someone else a Hermitcraft fan!
Or people blasting music through it.
Although, imagining Viking Santa here opening his mouth and death metal coming out is kind of amusingā¦
Proximity chat is mostly awful.
I want this because itād be hilarious
not sure people would actually use it.
new world (I know, gross) had it, and in the several months I played it, I think I saw one person use proximity chat.
This would be a great feature. Think of all the trolling that could be done with just a headset.
The fact that you didnāt say Ride of the Valkyries makes me sad
Given how vulgar just regular chat can be, this will never be a thing. Especially not with the high creep factor of some players.
That would be hilarious as well.
I hated this feature in ESO. It is immensely uncomfortable for introverts.
It could be a whole new form of rickrolling.
ā/yell Free TCG mounts at the bank stairs! Just come and open trade!ā
Excited players approach and get hit with Never Gonna Give You Up

Or people blasting music

I canāt watch that video at work but without even opening it I already know itās Fortunate Son

As long as I can turn it off and pretend itās not.
That is what I do in games like āRed Dead Onlineā, on the Xbox.
I turned it off right away on ESO. It was one of my first times in ESO and I heard something like carnival music, near a trade area. It was really weird music, then I heard some little kid singing along to it and it sounded almost creepy. Then I heard someone saying, āDaddy is playing his game right now.ā So I figured out what was going on and turned off all mic/hearing peopleās mics stuff; it is SO WEIRD that was on by default.
My experience with proximity voice chat comes from Sea of Thieves where everyone you meet is a monster out to ruin your day so I might be biased.
