I just went into proving grounds on one of my healers, wave 30 is about as hard as Gold was in MoP. I went to level 29 and yielded because I did not want the embarrassing achievement in this nerfed time period to show up on my achievements. I used no CDs, did not have to drink every 10 waves, it’s a complete joke now.
Some people had to earn the proving grounds titles. Is this the new participation trophy version of wow?

You are complaining about content being too easy that was released 7 years ago. That’s almost half of WoW’s lifetime. Maybe you should find something to be offended about that makes a little bit more sense.

This is one of few titles in the game you can not get carried.

I’m pretty sure no one cares if you got your proving grounds achievement, let alone when you got it.
Proving Grounds haven’t been relevant for a long time.
I still go there regularly, though, to test out UI aspects in a group setting.
I thought there was some sort of underground market where people sold accounts with certain achievements.

I am not trying to be funny here but is that not literally everything in this game now? I mean, wow is more of a console game now.
There is no money in niche market gaming any more and blizzard saw the decline in pc mmo’s and had to react and thus here we are. On one hand I get why blizzard is doing what they are doing. On the other hand, I don’t have to like it either but the game is something to do and by FAR the cheapest hobby I have had over the years.
Nevermind, I forgot the demographics of the game are now almost all participation trophy generation, the concept of earning what you have is way outside of your normal thought realm.
Then you should have done that back when it was current.
This is an entirely different time period for WoW, including different specs, different abilities, different state priorities, etc.
