Hi, the quest Proving Grounds seems to be not working for me. I took the quest normally, travelled to where it took me and when I talked to trial master rotun, he doesn’t give me any choices. Is this something common, should I cancel it and take it again?

The same thing happens to me when I tried it on 2 alts. Both have high ilvls and seem to not be allowed to start solo scenarios - Noodle Time - for example. The bubble appears above Rotun’s toon, but it doesn’t show that I’ve spoken to him in the quest list.

On this toon (or my Ret Paladin 46 - ilvl is squished to 57), who is Exalted with the Tillers & Best friends with them all. I can’t get into the Noodle Time dailies, but the daily shows up & I can try to get into it’s queue - but fails. I get the “don’t meet the requirements of the chosen dungeons” error. It happens on many of my other similar toons. Also, I noticed can’t finish the Proving Grounds quest that’s given to us in the Shrine of Two Moons (Horde) by Jinho the Windbreaker. Once travelling to Trial Master Rotun, I try to speak to him. He has the bubble showing above his head, but no option appears other than to click a “Goodbye” button. This has me think that the ilvl requirement for the Pandarian solo scenarios is referring to the lvl 46 requirements rather than the Pandarian ilvl requirements. If you have the gear or can get your level up to your zone’s dungeon ilvl, that may solve both of these issues. (My ilvl reqs would likely be 72-76 at lvl 46 to do the BFA reg/heroic dungeons.) So, I may have to wait to lvl 50 to do the Proving Grounds quest again. (It’s also given by Warmaster Zog at my Garrison when ilvl reqs are met.) I hope this helps.
My Horde toon (a Fire Mage) that was levelling up in Pandaria, then was able to see the quest for the “Proving Grounds” show up at lvl 35. It was not able to join the queue to complete it either. Now at lvl 50 with an ilvl of only 54.13, then it was able to start it Pandaria. By then, the same toon could see at lvl 48, with pretty much the same gear ilvl, only a grey exclamation quest in my garrison. It stayed grey there until it was then lvl 50. I took the toon back to Pandaria, then it worked there. But, why do we have to wait so long to do the quest showing up at level 35 as available, not a grey exclamation. Still sounds like it’s either a bug, or a missed item in the updates with the new Shadowlands expansion. Doing solo scenarios or the Noodle Time dailies didn’t work until I hit lvl 50. So, why are they showing up as available as well, but not allowing you into the queues until lvl 50?

I’m having the same problem. Trial Master Rotun has a bubble over his head, but talking to him won’t complete the quest, and he won’t give the option to begin any trials. Neither do the class trainers.

Blizzard told me to try turning back on XP (I had it disabled), so I tried that and it did nothing. Luckily I didn’t level up while trying…
