The real issue here is that the other “pvp” servers (as they are effectively all single-faction) are not true “pvp” servers. As the devs pointed out, they are de-facto pve servers.
So tell me, why any substantial group of people who have long been on de-facto pve servers would move to an actual pvp server? Short answers - generally speaking they wouldn’t.
If you’ve been living on a de-facto pve server, your natural inclination is going to be to not be incovenienced by pvp. Had you wanted pvp you’ve always had the option to go to an actual pvp spot but you’ve actively chosen not to.
Could a bunch of people who want to do wpvp but who have been generally unhappy for a long time due to being on a de-facto pve server move? It’s plausible, but unlikely. If they’re in a raiding guild they’re almost all going to follow their guild. And guilds, as pointed out, have 0 incentive to move to Grobb. So the only people who will be willing to move to Grobb are those who prioritize wpvp over raiding. Thus, the number of people who actively care to raid will not substantially increase.
New / returning players will overwhelmingly make the “smart” decision to go to the mega-servers (as devs have pointed out that’s what the community likes), so Grobb will die in time. This isn’t an irrational stance to take and devs need to keep this in mind.
Yes, allow people who care about wpvp to move to Grobb, absolutely. But also allow those of us who want to prioritize raiding over wpvp to escape what we believe is a sinking ship. That’s why you’re allowing everyone else free moves to a mega-server right? To allow those who are currently on sinking ships to escape. All we’re asking for is the same option.

My posting frequency has increased because the changes next week are a big deal for Grob.

choice is limited to 2 realms so kinda not really a choice…it’s either or
A choice is better than no choice and Grobb folks are being given none.
They know that if they did, the server would die, which basically just means we’re being held hostage.

Go pay for your transfer then.
Expecting Bliz to give free transfers from a smaller pop server is ridiculous.
There’s literally a history of Blizz giving free transfers off of small servers. Not to mention they are being given to every other server. Why would you give something to all but one server? It makes no sense.
And maybe because not everyone can afford to transfer their toons? You do not know everyone’s financial situation so don’t give them a hard time.
Yes, when a server is effectively dead, they’ll evacuate the few survivors.

I agree and yes you get a choice but only 2 and those 2 are picked for you not like you randomly choose 2 of your choice…just sad what Blizzard is doing to the player base
Grobb doesn’t have a choice. We’re just stuck here literally being held hostage bc we don’t get the free transfers offered to every other server

Work an extra hour at your job and pay for your transfer. You’re not a hostage lol.
I have several characters and am salaried. Can’t just work extra hours. Which shouldn’t even matter to you. It’s called being a decent human being and respecting other people.
All we’ve been hearing is “you want to raid and not pvp? Go play on a pve server.” Now we want to go to the pve server but we’re getting “you can’t have a free transfer it will kill Grobb. You have to pay for your transfer if you want to go.” Do you see how backwards that is?

We have logs to see how bad grobb is doing in the raiding scene.
1 raid is 10/10H on the entire server.
I think Grobb should have free xfers off it so people have a chance to finally enjoy a good server for once.
