The symbols aren’t showing up when protector is up there are just spheres not symbols. In zereth
I have seen that as well; if you die by the door, you can res on the other side to fight him, and the door opens once he is defeated.
Not a bugfix, but a workaround if ya reeeeallly wanna kill him
