I started playing in 8.2 and raided and tried m+ for the first time in 8.3. I achieved AOTC that season and would continue to get AOTC every season of Shadowlands and the first season of Dragonflight as well. I played as dps for all of those seasons. Then, due to a new work schedule and my guild moving to classic, I was unable to find time to raid for the remainder of Dragonflight.
Starting in 9.1, I began to take M+ more seriously and achieved KSM that season and every season since (11.0 excluded though I am getting close). I was a dps for all of Shadowlands and the first season of Dragon flight. In DF seasons 2 and 3, I got my KSM as a Healer and in season 4, I got it as a tank, thereby earning KSM on every role during the expansion.
I am now a tank M+ in TWW and my schedule now allows me the stability to start raiding again. I am looking for a guild which will push me to be a better player but will understand that I do have a life outside of the game. I recently started law school and while my evenings are usually free, there are occasional but rare nights where I am studying until the early hours of the morning, and I would not be able to raid.
The guild I am currently in advertised itself as a 3-night guild which was looking to enter heroic raid imminently and would push into the higher, mid-level keys. However, on the first night of raid, the guild leader changed the raid schedule to 2 nights a week with different nights and cancelled the first night. When we finally did raid, we had a good night of prog then all but the guild leader and I left the raid group for all subsequent nights. 2 people does not a raid night make, and I am learning that while he considers himself a higher-class player, he only ever did leveling dungeons and has not done any delves yet because he thinks they will be too hard. He isn’t pushing himself enough to keep up with my solo growth both in ilvl and skill. I get along with him well and we have fun playing together, but I am more than ready to push into more difficult content. I would like a more serious guild. While I am not prepared to pay for faction or server transfers, I am an accomplished speed leveler, and I estimate I can get a fresh character to 80 in less than 18 hours of in-game time, and I can push gearing hard to get caught up from there. Otherwise, I am perfectly happy being in a cross realm/faction guild. I am maining tank atm, but I believe I am capable of learning a DPS spec and I am prepared to though it may take me some time. Specifically, I would be playing warrior most preferably, but I am also proficient in dk and monk and could probably learn a new class with no issues.
I am available after 7pm Eastern on weekdays other than Thursday. Though I am in law school, and I am sometimes studying very late.
