What’s the consensus on the best healer synergy for prot paladin in M+?
Best is Disc Priest to cover gaps with externals since Paladins are fairly weak in mitigation compared to a few other classes. We don’t need them, but it helps.
Next, I would say Druid/Shaman/Monk are pretty even if they actually use their utilities.
At the bottom Preservation, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest.
That’s what I’ve noticed too. Disc priests are either amazing or horrible because of the skillcap, but nothing beats a competent disc priest. I almost never choose a monk to pug bc it’s too risky, 90% of them get tunneled on dpsing and forget to pop externals and heals. I’m sure that will change for me now that I’m starting to push 12s. I like shamans, because they are almost always consistent.
For sure. I’ve had many Disc priests go an entire run without using Pain Suppression a single time. Like, that’s the whole reason we bring you.
Definitely. They have to know the dungeons inside and out to use their kit effectively. In lower keys, I would definitely opt for Shaman/Druid/Monk. Maybe even Shaman/Monk because Druid has a higher skill curve than the other two.
