PvP is content that I just find annoying.
Convoke=killed in seconds.
Pallies=killed in seconds
Rogues=Stunned in seconds. (j/k they kill you in seconds too)
Mages=killed in seconds.
I think bg’s are all I can stomach atm.

yea seems to be that way I was pretty shocked getting hit with 45k dmg by a tank in under 3 secs

I’ve been gone for a while, so maybe I’m missing something. Isn’t the GCD still 1.5 seconds? If so, then:
1 GCD - Pally Hammer of Wrath hit You 8,097 Holy. (3,730 Absorbed) (Critical)
Pally Shadowcore Oil Blast hit You 553 Shadow. (254 Absorbed) (Critical)
2 GCD - Pally Avenger’s Shield hit You 3,053 Holy.
Pally Shadowcore Oil Blast hit You 461 Shadow.
Pally Melee hit You 2,575 Physical. (Critical)
3 GCD - Pally Judgment hit You 12,043 Holy. (Critical)
(Off the GCD) Pally Shield of the Righteous hit You 3,649 Holy. (1,681 Absorbed) (Critical)
4 GCD - Pally Judgment hit You 6,944 Holy.
Pally Melee hit You 905 Physical. (556 Overkill)
So, this was about 6 (4 GCD x 1.5) seconds, not 3, correct?
I get that this is still strong burst for a tank, but, this also implies he had Wings up banging on you for 6 seconds and no heals, stuns, escapes, etc. Outside of Wings, how strong are they?

So, different classes are different. Pally has always been trash outside of it’s burst window. I’ve played pally for much of 13 years and this is the first time their burst has brought them out of the middle to low tier. Imbalances like this are in EVERY patch, and the forum QQ will never end, but the first time pally benefits from it, the QQ fills the Grand Canyon.

WOTLK Pre patch and WOTLK pallys burst was out of control as well

They were still trash, overall. They weren’t in any meta comps, because you only had to avoid/cc them for 20 seconds out of every 2-3 minutes (don’t remember, but I think the cd used to be longer at one point). Outside of that, they could almost be ignored.

It was drain team after drain team. Disc Priest, SV Hunter, SL/SL Warlock. Melee teams needed to have two Shadowmournes to even attempt to compete, since they effectively didn’t have a healer, and Ret was persona non grata because of the whole “tiny mana bar” thing.

This ceased to be a thing after like season 2 in BC.
When I saw this, I assume this is just a regular random bg? If it’s a random bg, then he could’ve also been flasked, with pots, engineering, using the saltwater potion etc.
If you go to the rated side of things, you won’t really see prot pallies dps’ing too much. They mostly spec into being livelords or healers.
(I’m not saying protpally doesn’t need tuning, it probably does. Just saying that sadly, random bg’s don’t give us a great view.)

First, your logs clearly show a minimum time of 6 seconds for that combo to happen. A lot can happen in 6 seconds.
Literally any spec will kill u in 6 seconds if you just stand there like a chump. Especially if you are a clothie.
Just because it’s a tank doesn’t mean you get to just ignore them in pvp, brah.
