Giving prot paladins their own ladder and then doing absolutely nothing about the ridiculously obvious and egregious wintrading as a result of that is one of the most braindead fried things I’ve seen blizzard do in this game.

I most play healers, so thankfully I don’t have to deal with my lobby being held hostage by some neckbeard playing 2 accounts. But really, who thought putting prot paladins in as healers where they can only play against other prot paladins was a good idea?

It was a fine idea when all tanks replaced healers and they made an exception for paladins to always match them because they’d outheal other tanks and provide more peels, support, etc.

Nowadays it doesn’t. Just slot prot paladins in as the other tanks which is as a dps with a limit of 1 tank per lob.

A single “prot pally healing reduced by 75% in pvp” patch note would fix this, then do as you said and put them as DPS like every other tank (although idk if prot pally healing is even good enough now to warrant this, but that number could be tweaked in future patches)

I mean they already fixed this by having tanks not replace healers (back in, like, shadowlands) but forgot about prot paladin lobbies.

Outside of wintrading the matchmaking is also really bad where you’ll get some 2k prot vs a 0 cr prot who queued as tank by mistake who just goes 0-6

If you gonna queue into somebody with CR they just spam decline if you aren’t their pal or alt because there’s no cd on declining queue

Even just some minor enforcement of tos would help this as well. Like, they don’t even need to go deep with it it’s so obvious. “Oh, you have a 75-90% winrate and all your games are against the same 3 paladin? B& + titles stripped”

This problem could be solved in an afternoon if blizzard actually cared

Yeah, exactly.

In dragonflight I played three prot lobbies, went a total of 14-4 and played against one of the top guys. I then was never able to enter a lobby again lol.

These prots are actually incredibly bad, mortalx is twice as good LOL

Arena prot paladin players bad? A tale as old as time itself.

hopefully Venruki bringing light to this gets them banned.

YEAH! Be a real man and queue ranked 3’s with it!

This was likely because players wouldn’t stop whining about them being healers in shadowlands. So blizz made the weird decision to make them healers in shuffle before it launched then continue to nuke their teammate healing as patches went on from DF S1 onwards.

This isn’t needed because they aren’t healers even as it stands. That would just cripple the self healing they have at that point.

This has been going on and called out since s1 of dragonflight when shuffle came out XD

Did Ven make a video? I’d like to see it

I’m not sure these guys are the ones bringing it up I’m assuming he talked about it at least.

Infernion kept posting about eu prot paladins because they’re like 2800 mmr over there so every talking head probably has a video on it by now.

Idk why it took so long.

Oh, and Infern made a bunch of videos on pretty blatant verdant wintrading and nothing happened so :dracthyr_shrug: psure they just laid off the hack/cheat team at end of sl

I’ve seen his EU videos. Very interesting.

I play a lot of prot pally and I’ve seen a lot of the obvious cheating on the prot ladder since it began.

Some seasons I can’t even get a lobby for the last few days.

Ye no penalty for dodging/leaving so you just drop queue until you get somebody favorable

Flark got 8 hours of declines and he was just out of cutoff range

The same thing happened to me a couple of different seasons. I couldn’t climb at the end due to lobbies being declined
