Just bricked a 27 Rise on the last boss with 90 seconds left to kill Murazond at 4.5%. (with lust about to be used and all CDs, on top of the 5 Drakes)
Why?
Because our tank used his Immunity (Divine Shield) to survive the frontal cone. And the bug happened.
What is this bug you might ask?
It essentially treats Divine Shield like BOP and drops all agro. What does that mean? Murazond did a 180 and killed us all with the tank frontal. Completely timeable key lost to a stupid bug. I’m having trouble putting into words how frustrating that is. Certainly a whole lot more frustrating than top teams doing +30 EB w/ a mind-control wasp; I couldn’t care less about that. But this? That just ruined my night and made me not want to play with Prot Paladin; all because of a bug.
The EB Mind Control bug was fixed within 1 week of Blizzard learning about it.
This bug has been present since 10.0.5.
This needs to be fixed by next week.
It is intolerable that keys (especially difficult ones like Rise) can brick over crap like this.

Soooo… what’s the bug here? Because divine shield does drop all aggro, hence the point in a talent that taunts everything.
The talent is not applying; and the boss instead dropped all agro, which should not happen.
The point is that is not taunting
It tends to happen when the prot pally stands on a Y-axis advantage relative to the target

Does a taunt even force him to redirect his cone?
I just did that same key again with that very same prot paladin, and the boss did not do a 180 that time.
So I’m gonna go and guess that this was in fact a bug
Can you explain what you mean by this
If the fight is on uneven ground, some spell effects will miss a target that isn’t on exactly the same ground height as the caster.
So, in this case, the Final Stand taunt is missing the target, leaving behind only the 100% threat drop caused by the shield. Which is unfortunate if you’re tanking, because no one else’s threat has dropped.

That’s z axis, and isn’t the deios arena literally flat ground?
It’s not; there’s a slight incline at the edge of the arena (which the tank has to position the boss there to min max space; which you have to do in high keys because sand fills the area)
