Warrior is simply the most fun class (i used to play bear and VDH, shame on me!)
Jumped on my warrior and swapped him from fury to prot for the first time and everything is just so satisfying
You kill so fast
You charge between mobs so fast
You can jump to access any zones just like DH
You feel just immortal with a shield
You shout like a beast
I think Im going to have so much fun in DF. Now I found my tank and i’ve got my healer. Yeeeeah

For giggles I just tanked Ulduman in fury spec defensive stance. Absolutely dominated the dps meter and tanked it no problem 
Prot Warrior is right where it should be. And yeh MEGA FUN!! My mate is dropping bear to Prot warrior he loves jumping around and the mobility. Charge, Thunderclap click the things…repeat.

I love prot warrior. It was my first character to 60 and probably going to be my main again for the first time since the end of tbc. But having recently played brewmaster, blood dk, and prot paladin there are some really fun aspects of those tanks too.
Brewmaster feels like it has so much control over the field with cc and knocks. However there are way too many buttons and they don’t feel tank especially vs magic. The fix is to buff stagger and to biff it vs magic as well. And to remove the crap ton of redundant buttons.
Prot paladin with the dragon flight talents has throw shield and throw shield always feel fantastic. It hits 5 targets, explodes on impact of those 5 targets, interupts at range, has it’s cooldown refreshed, sometimes you can chain cast it into a pack multiple times, and gives an absorbs, buffs your block chance etc. You also have heals and defensive cooldowns for your party for days which is nice. However you have to hard pick between single target and aoe which imo is lame and you feel weak defensively. Imo make WoG into a % absorb like ignore pain instead of a heal when cast on yourself for prot and it fixes a lot.
Blood is amazing. You have complete control over your HP and grips are amazing. You always have a cooldown to live. And the Deathstroke gameplay is the chief’s kiss. However it feels different now that we have talents. It’s missing ‘something’ I can’t put my finger on and it’s not the lack of tier set and covs.
I still think I’m going prot warrior but def don’t sleep on the other tanks they’re amazing too!

its ok but kinda easy, but then I tanked in burning crusade
id love to find a build that uses devastate instead of the talent that rids you of it. seems like revenge is the new “basic attack” like devastate atm

Prot warrior has been tons of fun. I like being able to have so many viable and different ways to express your play. For me…It’s Shockwave/Ravager, but I like checking tanks and seeing how different people’s builds are.
Also, special shout out to the Venthyr. I love Condemn as a tank, especially because I’ve been running low lvl keys to help ppl gear up. 20K Condemns aren’t unheard of and you can spam them out when things line up.

Shockwave has been one of my favorite abilities since it exists. And the talents that boost it are just perfect. And I really love the Shield charge, zomg its just wow!

My tank ranking is Warr = VDH > BDK > “new” Guardian >> Pally >> BrM.
TL;DR you right.
Prot now is like Shadowlands would’ve been if we had 3-4 legendaries. It shows how pathetic we were in SL more than anything.

I wish they would rename the spec tbh. No other spec in the game has a double up yet prot pally and prot warrior do.
I’d be happy if prot stayed with pally (being the idealistic protectors and all that) and warr got changed. Maybe Vanguard Warrior?

This has been established. Its not the one. Paladin has two. There is also Holy Paladin and Holy Priest. There is also Restoration Shaman and Restoration Druid. Also Frost Death Knight and Frost Mage.
They are meant to be named this way, in so far to show the thematic similarities and lore.

For the first time since Legion, I’m choosing warrior also for my main this expac. I’ve been a Paladin and BDK mostly since Legion. Its nice to feel like another class if fun enough to pull me away from those two. Now I’m choosing between a mage, Lock and Hunter for my alt now. Fun factor is by far the main reason I’m choosing. I’m too old for meta.
