Prot is really OP, its not even fair

So, my prot warrior is Ilvl 375, with 2 piece tier. Here are some basic stats:
Dmg Reduction from Armor - 54%
Dmg reduction from Defensive Stance -15%
Dmg reduction from 2 piece - 4%
Dmg reduction from Punish (assume 2 stacks) - 6%
So, normal rotation I’m sitting 79% dmg reduction on physical.
Add in -
Ignore pain -50% dmg reduction
Demo Shout - 20% dmg reduction
10% passive leach from talents
Pain and gain leach -4.5% of HP every 10 secs (I believe this broken and the heal comes much more often)
Deep wounds leach 85% of dmg done
Indomitable - 3-3.5% of HP leach virtually every global
Oh yeah, don’t forget we can block, parry and dodge too.

I know it’s fun to be a juggernaut, but this is a little silly.

No. Damage reduction is not additive.

You know you can’t straight addbup the percentages. Atleast thats not how these things typically work. It should work more like i have a 50٪ damage reduction and another ability that is a 50% damage reduction. That is not a 100 ٪ damage reduction. Its here is 100 damage first damage reduction reduces it to me taking 50 damage, then the other damage reduction is applied to that remaining amount. 100 damage - 50 % is 50 damage left then 50% os the remaining leaves you with taking 25 damage.

Also looks at tje deep wounds dot damage, its not alot so the healing isnt much. You are maki g straight assumptions with no context of the actual mechanics.

Well, that’s certainly one spectacular way to show you have no idea how stats work in this game…

It’s multiplicative…

Results in about 68.46% Damage Reduction at base
Demo Shout improves it to 82.15%
Ignore Pain, isn’t actually Damage Reduction - it’s an absorb shield…

Also he forgot to list his Versatility…

That is still wrong. (1 - 0.6842) * ( 1 - 0.2) is the math. Netting a 74.7% damage reduction.
