i cannot prospect any of my ore in jewelcrafting. when i put the ore into the slot to prospect it auto takes it out and makes it a empty slot. ive tried disabling all addons and reloading but it does nothing to solve the issue. ive also exited the game it seems to solve the auto take of the slot but now i can not prospect any ore of any kind or quality it just says “item is not a valid target”. ive even tried unlearning and relearning losing all my progress and gold ive already spend 7 hrs into grinding all because somehow this bug exist in the live server

You can only use prospecting if you have a reagent bag?
Same issue here on prospecting. Today - maybe because of update - now it stays in the box but when I click ‘prospect’ it removes ore and gives the speech ‘I cannot use that’.
Dunno if it’s bugged or maybe ineligible for whatever reason in which case they should clarify the mechanics so that ineligible items are not selectable or give a reason why.
Similar issue with ‘Crushing’… some work, some don’t - no clue why some do/don’t…

Still doing it today after the update (12/2/22) please fix this so i can use my profession!!!
I was having this issue, but only with reagents that are in the reagent bank. Those in my inventory seem to function as expected.

I think this is a feature now. You can only use reagents that are on you and not ones in the bank. If you checkmark hide unowned, it grays out the reagents not on you.
I’ve been having this same problem… crafting from the bank has always been very helpful since it was brought in. Please don’t take it away. Especially since now we have 4 million quality versions of everything to eat up the space we thought we gained with reagent bags and 1K stacks… ;_;
UPDATE: and yes, moving it to my actual bags instead of the bank fixed it. Thanks.
