Proposed Solution to Queuing

Short Term:

Increase server capacity, increase number of layers per server. Allow as many people as needed to get in and have a good time.

Wait a few weeks and when population is settling move to the long term plan below:

Long Term:

Realms with significantly high population should have layers reduced to increase queue time. This should SIMULTANEOUSLY offer Free Server Transfers to other realms to start balancing population across servers. This should be done as needed until all servers are healthy and not dying, nor over populated.

I agree with you. Me and my buddy were talking about this before release even happened. I knew this was going to happen haha.
On a side note, the actual game is very well done. Hats off to Blizzard. I feel at home.

I do agree with that. Once you’re in game, it’s really awesome! Thankfully I was able to play all day today. I missed out yesterday due to a 6 hour+ queue, and today one of my friends hasn’t been able to get on in 8 hours.

I think this would really help. Just throwing new servers at us isn’t going to fix the problem. It’s just going to create new problems later. It’s going to take a few weeks for the tourists to really die down and at that point they can introduce more servers if needed to assist in balancing and removal of layers.

Just curious, what server did you roll on?
I’m Herod Horde, obviously being a narcissist waiting in one of the worst ques but… xD

Better solution. Create a new table on the server list, that shows the actual number of players vs the hard cap.

Example: Windseeker—-Normal—-7353/7000—-Queue 353

This way people, including groups, can make educated moves based on something other than a broad “low, medium, high, full.”

I’m with all the people who left you the first round… haha. I’m Alliance on Stalagg.
