using raidbots what are the best “settings” to use when im simming if im focusing on m+(hecticaddcleave, heavy movement etc). theres a ton of different options and i just wanna make sure im not messing it up by having the wrong fight length or what have you
Youre better off going to your class discord and asking what most people use for M+ (but ChEcK tHe PiNs FiRsT).
you cant simulate a dungeon, just find the right stats and rotation and practise.
Sim patchwork, 5 boss, 1 min 30 sec fight length and turn heroism off for trash . It’s never going to be perfect but will give you an idea.
Then sim patchwork for the boss fights about 3 minutes with hero.
Take the info from both and try to find the best balance of gear using top gear (not stat weights!)
Raidbots has a dungeon slice sim for M+, but it only gives you an extremely vague idea of expected damage. It’s best to look at what the top M+ runners are using each week and then experiment on your own and see what works for you.
I use Dungeon Slice option from Raidbots and Hectic Add Cleave to give me an idea.
You can go to Raider.IO and check what the top players from your spec are using too.
A lot classes at the higher level sim differently which in my experience you can find that on your “class” discord. Higher in Outlaw rogues for example sim patchwork, 40 sec…no hero with 6 bosses. This simulates chain pulling huge which is what you typically would see if you watched a 20+ key from a streamer. Dungeon slice can also be a safe bet but that is not accurate either as that tries to account for a snap shot of a dungeon.
The best thing to do is really look at raider io and what others of your class are doing.
