Pronouns to be inclusive

Forget the percentage of the population that’s non-binary, I want to know the percentage of the population that reads quest text.

I agree.
But this is just extreme and more, “We want more recognition” bs.
Look at battlefield and tell me that pandering to the less than 1% worked out for their last gaming venture.
These people need to stop trying to force everyone to accept their “pronouns” by forcing them on us.

I don’t feel like writing numbers in scientific notation.

i bet that is less than 1%.

and that’s why this thread is a trolling thing.

One, I’m surprised this is still going on.

Two, this wouldn’t fix things. Because someone else would get upset it’s not theirs, or there isn’t a diversity of pronouns being used. There is no winning because if you capitulate they keep pushing for more. Blizz doesn’t need to change anything about what they do, if a character in game specifically does this. I’m fine with that, but it doesn’t need to effect everything.

Also. If they have a right to their opinions, then I have a right to mine, in which I believe, scientifically, that there are only two genders.
I’m sure there are plenty more like me, and I would like to not have their ideas forced on me.

This isn’t necessarily true, but it does tend to be the case. There is a reason, “Give someone an inch and they’ll take a mile,” is an adage in western culture.

Is that reason because everyone else uses metric?

I mean, we can disagree here I guess. But being referred to correctly is a pretty basic thing a lot of trans people ask for.

Wow, this thread is dumb. Just use an RP addon.

Well, you’re welcome to say, “Give someone a centimeter and they’ll take a kilometer,” but I don’t think that rolls off the tongue quite as well.

I’ll stick to sir and ma’am.
Like grandpappy taught me. Thanks.

It always bugs me that kilometer is pronounced kee-lom-eter instead of kilo-meter.

Trans individuals already have that option available to them. Characters can change between male and female freely, and that toggle should control any gendered word choices in the game, assuming some still exist.

The game treats character appearance data as a set of numbered flags. The same value that determines the gendered appearance of a given piece of armor or the character model itself can also be called during text display to determine which version of a text block is displayed. This is especially easy to do if the whole text block isn’t altered, but rather single words.

where did you hear “kee lom eter” before ?

This was suggested within the hour of the thread being made and was promptly told that.

Maybe it’s a New York thing then? Everyone I know pronounces it with the distinct “lom” in the middle rather than as a compound word.

Or they could just go to the barber and get a sex change. Bam, the correct pronoun.

Which is actually kind of ridiculous. One might as well say, “Yeah, but then only the people who want to see the feature can see it.”

Last time I took this character to the barber shop I got a third degree burn on the side of my face so now I avoid them as a rule.
