why ?
so , you are asking to the game change for you, based on what you think that is better for everyone…and what if i want to be called as “she” or “he”…? so i don’t know what is better for me, only you ?

According to all known laws of aviation…
its a video game where talking cows, zombies, hulk, and a fox are running around looting weapons from dead animals.
Do we really need this? When you make characters in the game it’s either Male or Female…because in life there is only male and female.
Even trans are eventually transitioning into male or female of their choice.
Nothing needs to be changed or spend development time for this.
Don’t suppose you have screenshots of these or at least the names of the quests so I can look them up? I didn’t notice any, but I also didn’t go through the game’s quest text looking for it.
Ya’ll, it’s literally already like 95% implemented because it’s cheaper for Blizzard to do.
Going the last 5% would:
A) not be noticeable to people who don’t think about their gender identity
B) wouldn’t be that difficult to do to accommodate more people.
Just wanted to thank you for being brave and supporting my suggestion amid all this hate.
In all seriousness, I legit hate that nonsensical bit about bees and aviation. It’s completely untrue.
That still isn’t the reason I don’t like Bee Movie, though. I just don’t think Jerry Seinfeld has ever been funny.
i said this in another thread…“trans are changing to a woman or a man…so…there is two genders”
OMG what a war …what a day…
I’d think it’d be doubly rare for quest text too since that almost always calls the player by the second person, which isn’t gendered.
It would be a rare quest where the opportunity to use a pronoun even comes up.
I don’t, I just remember thinking it when I was questing last week. It surprised me because like 90% of the time it was either ‘Champion’ or ‘Maw Walker’.
there’s no hate, you do realize youre the one insulting everyone else right?
My brother-in-law is a pilot. I’ve gotten the speech from him. ![]()
Something about how that myth came from a flawed study which treated their wings as fixed and rigid.
I also agree with you. I don’t think Jerry Sienfeld is that funny. But the Bee Movie is the greatest gift he’s ever given us if only for its raw meme power.
Well, for what it’s worth, I would appreciate you finding it and bringing it to my attention if that is at all possible. I do understand that could represent a significant investment of time though, so I won’t hold it against you if you choose not to do it.
I will, however, point out that if it was rare enough that you can’t remember what quest(s) did it, it probably isn’t worth making a complaint about.
Oh, I agree. It’s a garbage film, but the meme potential is astronomical.
Leftists are never able to see that they are exactly what they despise.
I mean I’m not calling for like a red alert need for a hotfix next business day or anything.
It’s literally just a low cost thing that would be nice for them to do, and would mean a lot to a group of their player base.
Easiest solution is probably just to update whatever style guide they have for quest dialogue to avoid the need for gendered pronouns.
You make up 1% of the population and I’d guess less than .5% of gaming revenue.
No thanks.
That’s revenue suicide. Stop trying to force your ideas on everyone else. Bye.
Literally this. Or if they do have a need for pronouns, which they rarely do to begin with, it’d just be ‘they/them’
Being a minority doesn’t actually mean it’s a bad idea. In this case I don’t agree with the suggestion, but there have been a number of changes specifically minding the extreme minority.
I honestly doubt any of those who might have been offended would notice. My reasoning for this doubt is that, were it something that was well-known or widespread enough to be of concern to those who ostensibly care, it would have been brought up on the forums already even if it hadn’t been hotfixed yet.
And rest assured, Blizzard would hotfix it, because it’s easy and cheap for them to alter a text string.
The fact that it isn’t being discussed is, I think, I pretty solid indicator that it isn’t a problem.
