Pronouns something the community wants?

All of it, apparently.

Seems to me if thereā€™s a lot of threads on this topic, it might be something worth looking into. Iā€™m just reading the trends and pronouns are part of it

Not everyone. Maybe some (not all) people.

Depends on the person. A complete stranger who I have no intentions in having a professional, friendship, romantic, etc., relationship with, then no, it doesnā€™t bother me. Iā€™ve been referred to as ā€œheā€ multiple times, on these forums, despite being a ā€œsheā€, but I donā€™t find it necessary to correct them about it because I donā€™t plan on having any sort of professional, friendship, romantic, etc., relationship with the person.

It be nice to not be referred to as ā€œCISā€, either, but the rude strangers (not everyone, just some) on here have obviously shown NOT to respect that, and itā€™s an easy indicator on who to weed out. This isnā€™t me ā€œcomplainingā€ about it. Just pointing out the hypocrisy.

Is different, yes. As this is a daily relationship that can wear you down. But, I can always find another job, as Iā€™m not tied to just that one.

There are many different ways a workplace can be toxic, for you, beyond a pronoun issue.

Why is this post hidden? This guy is spot on.

Fully understand this is a troll thread, butā€¦

I think an easy solution and easy win for Blizzard would be to add a toggleable UI for RP that essentially covers everything TRP3 does, but is just native to the game.

This way of someone felt compelled to add their preferred pronouns there, they can knock themselves out, and if someone doesnā€™t want to see any character data irrelevant to direct game play, they can simply toggle the function off.

Itā€™s basically what it is now, where people interested download the addon, and people who are not simply donā€™t. If it were native to the game, though, this would squash any further need for discussion like this, while not specifically catering to people who are blatant agitators on the gender front.

98% of it is coming from you and the army of alts. I mean come on, if youā€™re going to keep this up start using other name variances other than 2000 Tul variations, making it obvious who you are for several months now.

We can sit here and argue all day who it is or how many people it is but hereā€™s one simple fact. If we stop flapping our gums in these threads every time they pop up, I bet theyā€™ll go away.

But nah. We always gotta be posting in them. Then complain about it like we canā€™t do anything.

Because they are a well known troll that likes to change their name variation thinking we donā€™t recognize for who they really are.

Which is actually making it harder for people to tell if itā€™s someone completly different with a legit question about it. Been going on since at least May on several variances of name.

I think thatā€™s part of the troll.

and its Sunday.

thanks for reminding meā€¦well at least only one more day for me to be on-call.

I (actually) donā€™t mind them.

What grinds my gears is the OP selectively responding and never really addresses anything I say.

You can add whatever pronouns you want, as long as I can turn it off and pretend people like you donā€™t exist, just like I do in real life.

At least T isnā€™t spam creating these threads at the same rate he used to. Nevertheless, heā€™s creating new characters to get around people ignoring him (Hmmā€¦ seems like a ToS violation to meā€¦ Blizz?)

Blizz really needs to make ignores bnet wide, or better yet, do something about obvious trolls.

As for pronouns, let people pick their pronouns for NPC dialog (or just make all future dialog gender neutral), but donā€™t change everyone elseā€™s UI to reflect their fantasy. It ruins RP immersion to add something like that to a tooltip. If we want to ā€œmeetā€ the person and find out more, we can already do that.

Iā€™ll leave this here, despite the trolls making new characters for the sole purpose of getting around our only means dealing with them:

How to ignore all posts from a character:

If they donā€™t have profile hidden:

  1. Click on the character portrait
  2. Click on view activity
  3. Click on ā€œNormalā€ and change it to ā€œIgnoredā€

If they are hiding their profile:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right
  2. Click on the person icon on the top right of that sub-menu
  3. Click on Preferences
  4. On the left side, under Notifications, click on Users
  5. Click ā€œ+Addā€¦ā€
  6. Put in their username and realm and select ā€œForeverā€ for duration.
  7. Click ā€œIgnoreā€

You are 100% correct. How the haters reacted to your post is also proof.

Thanks for speaking the truth!!

Dang, why am I always late to these threads? I just want to make people happy with my popcorn! /cry

Because youā€™ve made 99.9% of them, as Iā€™ve told you in another of your threads about this topic.
Your pronoun shall be Spamming

Personally I want you to stop using Trans people to make cheap rage bait that results in threads full of Transphobia and bigotry :dracthyr_tea:
