As someone who plays a LOT of Priests, it’d be nice to have the option to copy/save/edit macros from one toon to another. A drop down menu or something that gives access to all other characters in my Warband so I can use their macros. Right now I have to go into the system file, copy/paste into a diff character folder and then reload or reset the game. IMO should be something seamless inside the game.

Your macros don’t save in that little macro box that pops up when you type /macro?
Granted mine are all silly like “hooray”, but they are accessible across all my guys.

What do you keep in the General Macros tab?
I have generic macros to create any macro from them, and I have world marker and other macros for targeting etc. The problem is I play every class and each class has pretty much full kit of macros designed for their own abilities. I don’t want to rewrite those macros and refill them every time I make an alt. IMO should be a way to select from a menu to copy macros from 1 toon to another.

Listen, some of us have a problem that can only be solved by repeated classes
it’s the only thing i’m good at, you don’t want me doing content on anything else with you
you don’t want me doing content with you on a monk, either, i suck at this game
at least i’m ranked 7th for quests done on US-ED, i have some value

Yeah they should really have a Macro button somewhere in the game that has account wide and character specific macros. Maybe the Escape tab would be a good place for it.

What you asked for is literally the exact thing the Macro function does. All you have to do is change the names of spells. If you have templates in the General section, copy it, and either create a new one in General for that character or go to Character Specific so as to not clutter your General tab.
Or do you not realize you can copy/paste in game?
Why the hell would anyone do that when you can copy an entire profile oveR?
Have you tried going into your Account folder and copy replace one character’s folder to another?
I don’t even think you know what you’re asking for. You want something that automatically knows exactly what spells you want in each macro on a brand new character and assigns it to your keybinds? How would the “profile” know that? You have to do that manually.
You can create a macro in the General tab and use it for all of your characters. If it’s for a spell, create a duplicate that specifies the spell for that character. If you have ten priests, you only need to make one General macro for Barrier on cursor and use it for all ten. If you have ten different classes, yeah you need to specify the spells for each class.
Please don’t look at how many paladins I have that may or may not all be the same spec. Well except 3 I think.
