Looking for suggestions on what professions to run. Im currently playing as a worgen rogue. Atm im using herbalism and alchemy. Considering going herbalism and mining or skinning and just making bank off of mats.
That’s generally the best way to go when leveling, two gathering professions and just sell all the mats.
Especially now that they’ve revamped professions and you don’t have to level them through all expansions for it to be usable at max level. You can just pick up your crafting profession at 120 and only have to level it through BfAs stuff.
Check your realm’s AH to see which two would sell the best. In my experience it’s usually herbalism and skinning, but that can vary by realm.

I think skinning is the best because your never diverting from the straight path to mobs. Herbing and mining slow your leveling speed more because when you get them your usually not taking a direct line to mobs.
Gathering is probably a waste of time until you get to BFA. Let’s say for example herbing and mining delay you by 5 hours getting to 110 and 120. In 5 hours at 120, you’ll probably make 10X more money than from all the herbs and ore you collected from 1-110.
Also, in those 5 hours you could miss out on 120 gear/gold/resources/emmisary because of world quest timers, or in worst case miss weekly lock outs. I never craft and only gather at the very start of a new expansion when prices are highest.
Picking flowers and mining ore compensate by giving XP for each node harvested. XP buffs from heirlooms, rested XP, Dmf, etc. also apply.
