I think we are slowly getting to a time where having more than two professions would be nice imo what do you all think??
I mean it would be nice to have alch ench jc herb and mining all on my main toon

I think professions are time and resourcing consuming, so if you have the energy to invest in to all of them, so be it.
hey man, like your post. i posted an almost exact copy of this a few weeks or month ago.
it did however gather a few people who were completely against the idea (???) but I mean, as a player, the option for more than 2 professions per character seems like a great idea, especially when engineering is REQUIRED to access a bunch of auction houses, wouldn’t it be nice to have 3 or 4 professions per character?
Oh absolutely the fact in df that if I want certain recipes they are negated behind renown and quite frankly I do not want to do those reps again
I think gathering professions (Herbalism, Mining, and Skinning) should all be Secondary Professions and crafting professions remain as Primaries so you can have all gathering and two crafting professions on a single character.

My thing is i like to be self-sufficient so inorder for me to do that I either have to spend gold to buy whatever I need for raids or mythic plus… or level an alt I’ll never use to have a profession….
gathering shouldnt be a primary profession…its the work you do to get crap together to do your profession.
I didnt have to go to school to be able to run down for supplies to do a job lmao…I went to school to make the final product.
Mining, herbing and skinning should be secondary profession/skills, plain and simple

used to be
One just needed to get an alt to max level
Then you take that alt to the AH and max out whatever profession you wanted. Except for herbing, mining, fishing, and archeology.
Then that alt just stayed in town you didn’t even need to play it.
Now.
You have to play that alt so it can earn the knowledge points to learn the patterns and recipes.
Not to mention, yeah you can max it out but you still need renown… that’s the worst part about it… even with the boost from xp it’s kind of like meh do I even want to bother…

yea, I forgot many of the patterns need renown maxed to buy them now.

Heck I mean you take DF professions… lets say I’m on my monk and I wanna make my bracers at max ilvl with aspect craft… I feel like once you get the 10 points orw/e in bracers I think that should be suffice.
