I have my death knight covering herbalism and mining. Both gathering professions make a lot of gold. I want to try Leatherworking for my rogue. I know I’d make more gold if both characters have the same professions instead of relying on one character but it would be simpler to just have one gold maker, and not having the same professions means I don’t need to make my high level character stop what she’s doing just to help build up the same professions again. If one character has herbing and mining is that enough to support multiple characters? Plus I want to have fun and try out different stuff. And herbing and mining (especially mining) can be a bit difficult to level depending on if the right veins and herbs spawn.
yeah my druid is mining and herb gathering and I feed my alchemy/engineering/inscription/jewel crafting profs with the druids gathering.
I mean, you can only be on 1 character per account anyway, so there’s no real need to make both your DK and your rogue the same profession since regardless of what proffession they are, you can only gather/mine on one character at a time anyway, unless of course you have a second sub for your rogue.
If you need to make gold, you’re not gonna make MORE gold by have 2 different characters with the same professions when you can only use 1 at a time to farm anyway… again, unless you have your alt on a separate sub.
Thank you everyone! You helped me make the decision. Have my death knight make the gold and do whatever the heck I want with my rogue. Thanks again! Gonna also do a faction change. Is it safe to do one? I heard people have experienced bugs or delays. Will I be required to move to a different realm? I like the one I’m on right now.
