Please stop driving cost for goods with a ridiculously low, seemingly impossible low, drop rate for Petrified Root. Not one drop. Leveling, herbalism, delves, instances, questing…. nothing.
It’s obviously created for certain players with an unfair advantage to rake in gold selling it.
if you cannot afford 1.6k you should not be crafting.

Dude, sometimes I open my inventory and I see a dozen of them and have no idea where they even came from. These things fall from the sky. Just play.

I got my first two today from a work order goodie bag. I promptly used one on another WO for KP gains and did a first craft with the other for another KP. Not sure if that was wise, but when I start packratting mats for a rainy day, I risk them gathering dust in my bank forever.
From what? From gathering maybe? From dungeons it’s definitely far more than that.
What’s crazy is fresh first craft professions are requiring it…
I’ve done 2 weeks of M0 tour and I’ve gotten…8 or 9? It’s not horrible, but not great either. The crafts that require 3 make me sad.

I’ve sold like 50 of them in the last two weeks. It helped pay for my gems and enchants. There’s no way you’re not getting any if you’re playing the game at all.
it comes from patrons orders too now i think since yesterday. idk its 100% or rng.
I play (maybe too much). Zero drops. Just purchased 16 to get me started…I was dumb founded. I figured there has to be a reason.
There will be a large surge of Roots in the AH as soon as Season 1 goes live.
Last I heard the main source of drops come from Delves. I would have to expect 7-8 or higher has a larger frequency.
I have 6 alts at 90 right now that are specifically for Knowledge Point farming for every profession. By doing the work orders at the crafting table every day. I get 2-8 goodie bags from each profession. Those bags have a decent drop rate for the Roots, as well.
I generally sell 3-9 every other day passively.
Not a chance it’s 100%! haha been leveling that up!
They drop a lot from the last bosses of M0 and patron order goodie bags.
I have been completing the daily crafting tables and not a drop. I’m broken.. lol
They can also drop from world content boxes.
Will look out for them, ty
