Will I be causing myself a harder time just focusing on leveling and not professions? I never got into the classic or hardcore to much, loved the initial hype but got real life busy, I’ve got some time to sink into SoD at least initially, is it a huge gimp to myself not levelling a profession or meh
You might as well level a profession, leveling to 25 won’t take too much time and it’ll give you something else to do.

We have seen epic items that are crafted from mats in BFD so if you are into the bis meta they you need to level the appropriate profession. There is no reason you could not level to 25 and then double back and level a profession. Glad you have the time to enjoy the launch. Lok’tar friend.

So heres my suggestion, herbing is a good call regardless of class, but if youre playing plate / have an interest in BS or Engi grab mining… if you like LW grab Skinning.
Just gathering professions here and there so you dont actually have to do anything but have materials if you ever do want another profession or want to make some gold while you level via the AH

So what else do you plan to do at 25? I mean you focus on leveling, do the raid and dungeons, you can easily squeak in some profession time. If nothing else do Tailoring/Enchanting, requires NO gathering skill.

Tailoring/Enchanting is your best bet to avoid competition. Especially right at launch, there won’t be a copper node or peacebloom anywhere

I wouldn’t say necessary bust considering that we’ll be stuck at 25 for a while leveling them can’t hurt. Now if you don’t want it to slow you down, I would wait till 25 before grabbing them. Of course, skinning is basically free money so I would grab that one just to make more money while killing stuff.

- TLDR it won’t be detrimental to not have professions as I will be a casual dad gamer hopeful to clear content but not be BiS METADAD, but no harm either - thanks all have fun!!

The max level is 25. That takes 2 days at most to reach. You will have PLENTY Of time to do professions. If you want a gathering profession id grab that but other than that i wouldnt worry if you dont want to.
