From the start of the expansion gathering professions have no use for Artisan’s Mettle. Sure it is called Artisan’s mettle but it is what gatherer’s gain from their knowledge too.
Of course people could have a gathering profession and a crafting profession but let’s face it - it is very common for people to have two gathering professions on the same character because if you are flying around gathering nodes you may as well get both herbs and ore, right? But then you get no use of the mettle.
I’d like there to be some form of dump of artisan’s mettle for gathering professions. Perhaps a vendor only they can buy from to buy gathering materials directly or items that buff perception or another stat for an hour. Something, anything, the conversion rate does not need to be great but I think gatherer professions should have some sort of use for the mettle.
