So im just starting to get into Dragonflight and im trying to figure out these professions (Skinning, Leatherworking) as i’ve seen in videos that having professions is very useful for end game content for crafting gear.
This professions layout is somewhat confusing to understand having this be the first time i’ve messed with this new professions system. Is there any tips or tricks ppl can share with me on how to level my leatherworking to the point where i can craft my own higher ilvl pieces?
Also, i seen in a video that you can have a work order be done where someone else just crafts the piece you want? how does that work?
Best bet is to do a google search for a leveling guide and power through the first half. The second half is reliant on recipes from drops, factions and discoveries. There should be guides for that as well.
In Valdrakken down on the level where most of the profession stuff is you will see a platform off to the side with three NPCs standing at podiums. Talk to one of them, and it will open a window for the Work Order system. You can put in orders for stuff you want made or fill orders, iirc you can fill orders from your proff table as well.
There’s three things I do not like about retail and the professions format is one of them and I really hope that this is not included with the Cataclysm reboot. You can read about what I said here:
Other things I hate about retail is the talent tree structure and AH format/interface… All three of these ill formed things need to be kept out of classic.
I goto this place for all my profession needs. It’ll tell you the fastest and cheapest way to level. This site also who where to best farm for mats. wow-professions dot com
