So I have a mistweaver monk for a main and planning on making 5 alts just for professions. All these characters are pandaren and are Shaman, Warrior, Mage, Hunter, and Rogue. I have alchemy and herbalism for my monk but I was wondring if I should drop herb for inscription. Inscription fits monk well based on lore just like alch and herb does. For example Lorewalker Cho for inscription with his history and archiving background, Chen Stormstout for alchemy because of his brewing, but all pandaren seem to like plants so herbalism. I am undecided if I should keep alch and herb for my main or go alch and inscript. I am aslo undecided which classes will have what professions based on lore? Any opinions/thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated on this.
Monk is clearly inscription, alchemy on a monk is stretching it. In fact, I dont see anything that points to a monk doing alchemy. Herbalism is the only other profession that stands out as a monk lore profession…Mendel and his peas as an example.
.
Monk and Inscription / Herbalism.
.
Warrior and Blacksmithing.
.
Warlock and Alchemy.
.
Mage and Enchanting.
.
Druid and Herbalism.
.
Hunter and Engineering / Skinning / Cooking.
.
Nothing else stands out as far as lore is concerned. If you wanted to consider race and not just class, Dwarves for Mining / Jewelcraft…Pandaren for Cooking … Gnomes / Goblins for Engineering.
