If you make your UI smaller it seems you can right click and drag the window larger or smaller if you have ElvUI
My opinion is that the crafting window is at least twice the size it needs to be. And why on earth (or Azeroth) do you need three, count them! THREE places that tell you what you are currently crafting?? The chat bar has a running commentary, that very annoying window that pops up, and hopefully you know what you actually are crafting. Please Bliz look at this and do something about it!! And while you are at it, please, please do something about the filter. It’s frustrating as hell to constantly have to click on the expansion you are trying to level. I go from mining window to blacksmithing and have to change it everytime. Make it so it stays where you are leveling, not the more recent expansion that you may have done minimal work in.

Way worse than the large window! This drives me nuts.
I was so mad about the size of the professions book but a guildie told me about the addon Blizzmove and it works. Resizes the books 
For those of you that have not figured it out yet. I just learned that if you go into Options, Graphics, and uncheck (or lower) Use UI Scale. That will also work globally. For me it was perfect. I can fit both AH and Profession window at the same time as well as my CraftSim windows all at the same time now. Not to mention so much more room on my screen for everything.
