There should be a way to do a profession knowledge reset. Even if it’s a one time thing so that all the people who put points into something for their profession before they knew much about professions this xpac can have the chance to actually be smart with those points without needing to drop the profession and starting from 0 after all the time they put into those professions.
Like I said, I believe most people would be fine with it just being a one time deal but there should be something in place for this.

I think people will find ways to abuse the ability to do a full reset even if it’s only a one time deal. I think a partial reset would be a good middle ground. Maybe like 30-60 points should be enough to undo any “mistakes” you may have done. Also a catch up mechanic should definitely be in place. I started playing a month after release. That means I’m nearly down 50 points in 2 professions compared to someone that started day one!
As completely NOT intuitive as the DF crafting is there needs to be a way to swap points around. I waited months to even attempt my crafts. And one day into them and I am done. There are not enough knowledge points to do what I want and I’ve already spent what I have so I cannot swap to a backup plan. Such an utter and complete waste of time and gold. I do sincerely hope whoever designed this loses their input privileges.
Crafting worked just find before without ever leaving me frustrated. I genuinely wish I had a door to slam in someone’s face. This is complete trash.

I do love the new crafting system for the most part. I just think there needs to be a reset even if its a one time deal now that the xpac has been out a while and we know where we would like points it would help so that we can hit those easier
At least they should have made it clear which tree wouldn’t have at least one trainer recipe that would carry you to max without rng or renown locked recipes
