Profession knowledge question!

i read some wowhead guides. still very confused about what the best spec to put points in for the different professions is.
also offtopic is it possible to skip oshnrahn plains?
this zone is the absolute worst most garbage zone i have EVER had the displeasure of playing.

Depends what your goal is. Not sure cornering the market and/or making a fortune is in the cards for starting a profession this late in the expansion. Also, the lack of catchup on KP is a real obstacle for starting professions late. Anyway, decide what your expectations are and that should make it easier to put points in.

You must have skipped Ardenweald last expansion, or you wouldn’t have typed this.

ardenweald has NOTHING on this zone. mobs all cluttered together. they come at you 3-4 at a time. constant deaths. huge zone with vast swaths of nothing. although ardenweald is a distant second.

i just want to mine/herb/skin stuff. maybe craft stuff. not interested in making money off professions.

there is no best spec to put points in - the market is changing continually. Go look at what people are offering for work orders and see if you want to waste effort on going that route.

if you aren’t interested in making gold then it should be straightforward what to pick - I don’t even understand how you could go wrong if you just want to mine/herb and skin stuff without being bothered with how profitable it is.

for herbing put all your points into botany - once you get to max in teh major trait you can herb while mounted

There is a similar one for mining -forget what its called

And Plains and Ardenwield are two of teh best zones ever made

im talking about from a mob design standpoint. however made them just seems to hate the world. from a visual standpoint my favorite zone so far is azure span. also what should i take for professions specializations? i want ones that primarily benefit me.what are the best stats from profession specialization trees?
