Profession Knowledge Point Question

So for tailoring all I could find was a weekly work order 0/3 quest and the “Patron” work orders to do. Did they do away with the trainer quests to go kill stuff like they had in Dragonflight?

Maybe I’m missing something, but having to get mats to dump on Patron orders just for knowledge doesn’t seem great. Those are mats I could’ve used to craft something for sale. For my amount of play it seems like the mats I’ll be getting will just be going to the Patron NPC.

I know there’s treasures and weekly drop items, but is there anything else besides the work order/Patron that gets unlocked as a quest?

They did.

It’s definitely a bit different. You are going to be spending gold or time to get knowledge points now, but sometimes Patrons will give you a work order that increases your skill. That’s especially valuable at very high skill levels where you need Sparks or Acuity to craft things, as the Patrons will provide those particular resources.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation. The way it comes across to me is that it feels like a burden to get going especially with the resource scarcity at the beginning of an expo. Personally much preferred the active kill quests than this.

Maybe it will open up later on. Or maybe there’s some bugs going on. My herbalist/miner doesn’t have any quests or anything available from trainers or artisan commission. Wowhead said there should be gathering quests from trainers.

Edit: Seems you have to be skill 25 to get the gathering quests from trainers.
