Can someone explain to me how this works? I get EXP from first time crafts, but not always? I was sure it was because I only get EXP from Orange items, but then I got EXP from yellow ones. Then I crafted a yellow and got nothing (well, except the Profession Knowledge, not like I care about that LOL).
What’s the rules for getting EXP from crafting? Is there really a random factor to that? Like, what’s the point of that?
Like character experience? You only get experience from the first 30 “first time crafts” which is usually leveling one and a half professions give or take. You get a bit over a level from which is why I usually stop alts at ~68.75 and just level Enchanting since DE’ing is “free gold” and the profession costs like 3k gold to level because of how absurdly cheap non-resonant crystals are.
There is a limit as to how much first time craft exp you get (character experience - I assume you mean).
It is roughly 1.5 levels if you do it at 68. More like 2 levels if you do it earlier on (60).
Blizzard nerfed how much you can get - so you can’t like cycle professions to go 60-70 if that was on the back of your mind.
There is basically a fixed amount of xp that can be earned through first time craft bonuses, regardless of how many/which profesions you do it with.
I dont know… I am still stuck at 50 with both of mine and thinking of dropping it all and going with herbing and mining.
What are you trying to specialize in? Where are you spending your KP?
You don’t actually need to have your professions maxed to be successful. It really depends on what you are doing though.
Yeah character experience. I really don’t care about leveling my professions (that’ll happen whenever); just my dude!
That’s so unforetunate. I just wanted to swap my gathering profession to crafting so I could spam out the last 2 levels D: Now my alt now has to WORK for exp like a plebian!
Not sure I understand the motivation in them nerfing it, but oh well. Seems like I missed opportunity to give other ways to level.
Actually seems as I dont care about doing WQ and give two flips about wasting my time doing Renowned levels then I will never get there not matter what. Tailoring and Enchanting seem to be completely locked unless you grind patterns from behind the gates blizz has put them behind. I dont have the time. When I am on I want to run a few easy M+'s and a little raiding and then bounce.
Any other free time I enjoy fishing… 
Enchanting is one of the easiest.
For example, the weapon enchants (acquirable via KP) can take you all the way to 100.
You are prolly right, I just need to actually take some time to read a guide, the game itself doesnt give you much in strait forward leveling.
