Is there a way to keep profession equipment from showing up on your character. Ive clicked the buff off but every time i mine or herb the gear shows back up. I didnt spend gold on transmogging my weapons to have them constantly replaced by a mining pick or herbalists scythe.

There’s an NPC that is supposed to make it only appear while you are using it but it doesn’t work.

I’ve found that the profession gear is super buggy.
Sometimes it will appear, and other times it won’t.
I noticed this too. I actually really wish it was just transmog items so you could go ahead and wear it or not, like Engi goggles.

Even if you tell Mahra Treebender that you don’t want to see your gathering and crafting equipment or your fishing rod, it doesn’t matter.
My Spriest ALWAYS looks like a purple witch now wearing that Alchemist’s Hat. I even tried /reload after making my choices and no luck.
Please fix this.
pretty sure it was fixed like three weeks ago. Never had my equipment stuck after i talked to npc
I think they should just scrap the idea of making it “auto” appear. Just make it a mog that players can choose to use.
I think the “whenever you use your profession get a cosmetic buff for a few minutes” thing might be tough.

I can’t get rid of the gardening hat on any of my herb gatherers. On either of my two accounts.
Should be an easy transmog option or in our settings. Show profession gear on or off, that’s it.
I guess blizzard likes to troll us from time to time.

don’t be mounted when talking to Mahra Treebender to hide your gear.
I thought this was going to do it. However, when I got to Mahra, I realized that not only had I lost my Shadowform somehow/somewhen recently, but I have lost that damned witch hat appearance. I suspect it will spontaneously reappear, but for now it’s gone. Sorry I can’t be more specific.
UNLESS it’s because I dismounted when I approached her, but the hat was already gone. Maybe it’s how I held my mouth…
