Is this happening to others now?
Not me. Just tested after I saw your thread, and I had no trouble. Are you getting a specific error message or error code when you try to log in?
My power is still out so I have no idea what is going on in wow.
Same here
I did scan and repair. I still can’t log in. anyone know what is going on?
I see some of my friends in game?
Can you try this?
I just logged in without a problem
You have been disconnected (BLZ51901016)
didn’t work for me
You may want to consider posting in the Customer Service or Tech Support forums: They may be able to provide better assistance.
I will suggest completely restarting the bnet app and making sure you don’t have any firewall conflicts, though!
After restarting my launcher, I can’t even sign into battle net anymore.
Having same problem here.
Got kicked out of WoW and now can’t log back in, relaunching the battlenet app did nothing to help.
Well, as soon as I typed that, everything started working again.
Well, it’s possible that there’s some kind of large-scale connection issue, but typically that means one of the backbone providers through which connections to Blizzard servers are routed has gone down for one reason or another.
This is especially likely with some people still being able to log in and others not being able to – the ones who can aren’t haven’t their traffic routed along affected backbone nodes.
That being the case, I would echo what Menglie said – the Technical Support forum is the place to report this.
I just did what admin. suggested and nothing. It did not work.
I was logged in before this, I was flying and game just quite. I think Blizzard need to get there act together and fix problem!!
It’s not a Blizzard problem. If it were, nobody would be able to log in at all. The problem lies with ISP-controlled backbone nodes through which connections pass to reach their destination at Blizzard’s servers.
That’s why I recommended posting in Technical Support. The forum blues there probably won’t be able to solve the problem if it is as I’ve described, but they can collect data and that data can be used to pressure ISPs into fixing the problem, since the problem itself is the fault of the ISPs.
As OhGodMyEyes stated it’s usually a problem with a routing server somewhere between you and Blizz.
Which, Blizz has no control over. It may be down due to weather, or for maintenance. Usually they come up in a few hours… Or less.
The games I work on in Customer Support have this problem off and on. When it only affects some of the players, it’s not Blizz. If Blizz has a problem we All have it. lol
So, if only some people have it, then usually it’s a routing server somewhere. The signal from you to Blizz goes though umpteen routing servers depending on where you are and where the destination server is. If any one of those has a problem. Ouch. Sometimes things can be re-routed, usually they aren’t.
There is severe weather in many parts of the US. A Lot of people without power (which can take routing servers down…) So we just have to be patient sometimes.
Same thing here, got DC’d about 30 minutes ago. I did have a storm run through. I’ll check again in about an hour
