Problematic Aethas Sunreaver Dialogue Must Change

The discrepancy between both pages kind of bothers me…

I do wonder if I did the quest on my alt mage on my alt realm now… because if I didn’t, I know what I’m doing tonight.

EDIT: I tried to search up more sources, but sadly, every video about the quest focuses on the completion and nothing else.

Yeah, same. Now i’m really curious.

Edit: Kay i hopped on my mage, and surprisingly, i didn’t complete this quest yet. How convenient. :open_mouth:

It’s part of the 7.2 Champions of Legionfall campaign that’s locked behind the Class Hall Campaign.

I am aware of your previous posts.

I’m actually unfamiliar with the specific example of the “meaningless paintings”, something I missed in the game, I guess. But what I have noticed (not been bothered by much because it is expected in on line games but noted and sometimes commented on nevertheless) is the amount of sexual inuendo in the game over the years.
The thing with the OP is that this example is actually much less explicit than most and is subject to interpretations other than the one they’re on about, I think they are wrong.

As to your particular view of the quest; sure the corporation is being hypocritical, I would expect that of any corporate bureaucracy in their current situation.
However, if they were to remove five sexual innuendos about females for every one about males, this game would still have more about females. Consequently, I can’t get worked up much about that particular point; and this dialog is actually inoffensive in my opinion and the only objection I would expect if it was about a female character in this particular case would be if they included a picture of her with the quest notes (and previously, if it was a female character, they almost certainly would have).

Alright, so it is “Ha”.

I just went on my alt mage and found her at my class hall.

Luckily, if you’re a mage, you can still see her original gossip and, indeed, it’s “Ha!”

(Don’t laugh at my UI, it’s organized to me, ok?)

So, it is laughing about SA, and my point stands that this has no place in Warcraft, or any story.

Or they were planning on torturing him. Which is a process made far easier without various layers of (possibly magically enhanced) clothing.

And would be far more in line with those two species, who seem to harbor a violent resentment towards the developed races more than anything else.

Also, given it’s prevalence in… well… the world… in times of war, it would honestly be weird to NOT have references to it. It’s gonna happen and completely handwaving over it makes it feel like “we all just gonna ignore this” more than “yeah, that happens”

If you think someone saying “ha” about a situation which may or may not have been a SA that didn’t even end up happening, is a problem, please, never EVER set foot in an ambulance, hospital ward, military barracks, police station or firehouse when they don’t know the public is there, it might actually cause you unlife.

Oh, that’s also convenient too.

Mate, have you seen my UI? It will make yours look super clean.

Nope, I’m not going through this circle again. It IS a rape joke, and it is being made light of. The few rational people in this thread agree that it is disgusting.

Ah, the old “I am in the echo chamber and am therefore correct” gambit. Good day,

You should still have not posted this as still no one should or will take these types of post seriously…

It’s for Blizzard, not you. People like you, who defend this garbage, are a speed bump.

With my unused addons hanging out on my screen and random things occupying my actions bars? Nah :stuck_out_tongue:

They removed far more inane things already for you to try to find ways around the very clear implications there.

I don’t think Blizzard is going to listen to this thread anyways, and just might think it’s another troll thread, given how it’s written with this “You’re either with me or your my enemy” sort of attitude here. :man_shrugging:

(Not saying you’re trolling, i’m saying you’re simply going about this in the most wrong way possible that won’t get them to listen to you.)

It is very likely they won’t listen to it, although they unflagged my post for trolling. I didn’t act like people were an “enemy” until way later, as well.

People like you who scream and cry over anything a little discomfortong are the minoroty and the speed bump but pls do continue to project. Its at least entertaining to watch the tantrums as adults act like little kids who didnt get that candy they want.

Youre complaining about a single Ha.

You realize humor is based on making people uncomfortable and laughter is a way to releave that discomfort. People Ha over things not out of malicious intent but to release some akward discomfort…

That you dont understand that shows you either never socialize with humans or your not human.
Or your pretty sheltered…either way ists basic psychology but you take it in a direction thinking it’s ment to be offensive…its subjective…

They’ve changed things for far less already.

They could either remain consistent, or revert the changes before they go live.

I am complaining about a joke that sends the message that male sexual assault is no big deal, while Blizzard changed many other things.

Well fair enough, though i still don’t think it’s right to do that to people. There’s always more more positions to take up then just two extremes. Or simply greys in black and white.

I do agree that Blizzard’s double standards here is stupid and they should be consistent with their censorships, at the very least. Even if i don’t see this particular instance Aethas got into is rape, but i digress.
