Problem with G-99 Breakneck

So, I can’t use the G-99 Breakneck in Undermine. I can use it inside the Liberation of Undermine raid, but when I’m outside the raid, the button is X’d out, and nothing I seem to do changes that. If I click the button, it does use a GCD, but it does nothing else.

So far, I’ve turned all my add ons off, I’ve turned all my addons back on. I’ve tried typing /cast G-99 Breakneck. I’ve zoned in, I’ve zoned out. I’ve used the teleported to leave and come back. I’ve used the mole machine to the Zandalari coast to zone in and zone out.

I even read something somewhere that if you completed a world quest, it’d come back, so I tried that. Nothing.

It only works for me INSIDE the raid. I can’t do Surge Pricing. I can’t do the races. I can’t even drift around and act dumb in Undermine as one does.

Does ANYONE know of something I have not tried to get this thing working? I’ve got screenshots, but you can’t really post those.

Have you tried removing the icon from your bars and re-adding it from the Extra Action Button that pops up next time you’re in Undermine?

I would also recommend going a step further and trying a UI reset if the above doesn’t work.

Did you do the questline to unlock it on at least one character on your account?

OMG. I just realized I misread this post topic. I saw G99 and thought of a gaming mouse…or something, which was the reason I linked the tech support sub forum above. Well, so much for careful reading on my part! My bad. Doh!

If UI reset not working, maybe Jalanili’s question regarding questlines is a good point.

Just a heads up, tech support is focused on crashes and installation issues these days. This topic would probably fall under Quests or UI and Macro subforums.

I know Elocin. Hehe, check the post above yours. I am guilty of reading too quickly and seeing what I thought I saw, rather than what was there. Doh!

So, to answer, I’m 100% certain I’ve done the quest to unlock my car. I have been using it for a while now. There are no remaining quests in Undermine that aren’t repeatable.

I do actually use a G-60 Logitech mouse, but it seems to be functioning fine.

I guess I could try over in questing, but I’ve definitely done the quest.

This happens if you swap specs. You have to go to the drive place and select options on your current spec.

Sadly, this happens in both Blood and Unholy.

The button is there still in Blood, but it’s an X and nothing happens when I hit it

At the suggestion of Ekon, I removed the botton from Unholy, but couldn’t ever get the special action button to pop up. So it’s gone in that spec.

I did figure out you can get a little radio from Nanny Talullah to complete Shipping and Handling jobs and completed “Many Jobs, Handle It,” and “Surge Pricing.” It takes forever on a ground mount moving along at 100% movement speed.

I’ve now submitted a ticket. No idea how long it’s going to take to get a response.

In the meantime does

/use G-99 Breakneck

summon the car or does that fail as well?

(i use it when i forget to put it on my actionbars before entering the raid heh)

Every time you swap specs you have to go back to the drive NPC and select everything again, otherwise the button will remain an X.

I reported this in bug reports shortly after 11.1 launched.

Tickets will do nothing. GM’s are not involved with bugs.

1 to 2 day but in this case being a bug a gm cant help.

Are you still having the issue, Aeiay? I checked the character and they seem to have the button for the G-99 available and can use it. At least when I looked.

After a bit of back and forth with an in-game GM, the button is back now. Amazingly enough, what he told me to do didn’t fix it. It just came back on its own after I signed in to do what he suggested.

It was a very odd thing. Probably a coincidence.

After you swap specs, you have to either leave Undermine and return, or visit the DRIVE NPC before the button will work again.
