No luck when I re-installed it. Same error.
At one point, I managed to quickly click the gear wheel and clicked off logging in forever. When I was troubleshooting the phone app, the forums suggested changing your email and pw of the game. It was over-due. So I did that and changed it on the desktop too.
Now when I download the Battle.net desktop app, the exe puts it in the C drive, program files (x86). My game is in my D drive.
I was in my Kapersky Total Security last night for 2 hours digging around. I foind one Bliizard aspect tagged with a blue box, rather than the green trusted. I fixed that thinking it was the problem. It wasn’t.
Yes , I think your problem is it is pointing to c drive and wow isn’t there , hopefully a tech will come back because the post got marked as closed and he/she can tell you what to do
If you go in to game settings on you computer on the launcher window ( assuming it loaded) you ought to be able to click " use different folder" and that should let you at least manually type the location in or let you search for it. I am not familiar with the ui myself as mine is pointing to the correct folder, so i am hoping the green tech comes back for you.
I am surprised the battlenet website doesnt have an install location option for you D drive.
So I decided to delete Kaspersky Security Suite. I already researched what I would put in its place. So when I deleted it, I immediately downloaded that Battle.net desktop app with no problem. I am setting up the new Net security and it seems much more user friendly.
Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.
Yes it could have been the firewall blocking wow, glad you fixed it
