is there a weird rule over this necklace because i cant put a socket in it, i have it from M+ at 298 but when i try to put a socket it shows the message “this object cant be modified”.
Any insight on this or i need to look for another necklace?

You’re trying to use the SL socket item to add a socket to this piece of gear?
Those are pretty specific, if that amulet isn’t flagged for SL season X, it probably won’t work.
yep the item im using is this one Fatted Matter Fractalizer, got 2 today from the coins in the vault (nothing worth grabbing sdo grabbed the coins) necklace from upper karazhan medivh shadow S4 at itm lvl 298.
With one of the items i was able to put a socket in the bracers (291 itm lvl got them from grimrail depot), but the other one i couldnt use it for the necklace
Having the same problem for the past week. “That item cannot be modified”. When I use the socket item it even highlights the necklace to use it on but then gives me that message
Hopefully this is a bug because I recently traded away the Tazavesh Haste/Verse neck to a friend cause they were almost equal stat wise and now I feel like I played myself.
i hope its a bug because there is no way to know then which items can be socketed or not, even when i use the item to select the piece of gear, the necklace its highlighted

Update, looks like the item is hotfixed but I had an old version of the necklace from pre hotfix. A gm replaced it for me and I was able to use the socket item on it.
