Probably Speaking to a wall

Thats it, after playing the game (off and on) since alpha on various accounts i’ve had enough, it has been a good run for most years, recent being harder and harder to log on, keep making new friends and to stay in a guild long enough to watch it fall apart, i don’t actually feel like this is the MMO that it once was, just chasing the time gate over and over again does not feel like progression, asnd mostly alone as i didn’t feel the need to even be part of a guild.
LFR absolutely killed the game for me, its when i became casual, and even at that what made wow special for me was obtaining that rare set that only a certain number of people could obtain, and not just a recolor. I was thinking of rejoining around classic but i think i’m pretty worn out from the private servers. I rarely post on the forums, but i know of no other way of reaching out to old friends that are still playing this game. To those of you still enjoying the game kudos, and i wish you all the best in the future, I still will be around the blizzard scene, but playing hots on the rare occasion and/or the remake of warcraft 3 ( i’ve loved blizzard games since warcraft 2 came out) Thanks to ALL who made the years enjoyable, The wow community was great to be apart of!

Good luck out there, I hope you find something you enjoy. Many more of us will be following soon.

Newman got fired. Change is coming you just need to be patient.

Look forward to it, i’ll keep my eyes peeled

From what I’ve found, he also found a job at Netflix and was going to leave anyway. He might have been fired to save face and, potentially, be used as a Scapegoat to Investors.

  • Company is doing badly and need to take a new direction
  • Company finds scapegoat who will not be harmed by taking the blame (Newman was leaving for Netflix so he was perfect)
  • Scapegoat is fired
  • Company can then make changes while blaming previous issues on scapegoat.

All you have to know is change is coming.

Lol I think you are looking at this the wrong way. Newman got poached by Netflix and actually took a pay cut to leave Blizzard. That to me says there are lots of problems at Acti-Blizz because Netflix isn’t doing super well either and he took a pay cut from the $10m a year he made at Acti-Blizz. They “let him go” to save face but he had already left.

Believe me this is typical business Gymastics all you have to know is that Now Blizzard has a green light to make changes to improve the game.

Yeah, I had the same problem with guilds. Small guilds are just hard to make/maintain/come by these days. With most of the community being anti-social.

But I agree it’s definitely not the same game it used to be which is really sad.

Are you copy pasting everywhere?

Whats wrong with spreading good news?

They won’t though. If anything this will just create more turmoil at Blizzard. The new CFO isn’t going to come in and start making gameplay changes to WoW. If anything they will see that microtransactions and cuting costs is profitable and double down on those.

Copy pasta

LOL not saying that. What I am saying is that Now that the fired person is being blame for Blizzard’s decline Activision can now take NEW steps to improve the company while imply that Newman was responsible for the decline instead of actually coming out and saying they made a mistake.
