Wow has been full of horrible decisions and choices involving wow lately. The disappointment after disappointment has been insane
Well, it is early access. Not every feature is expected to be available.
Are guild neighborhoods not going to be available as well?
Would you prefer they not have told us at all?
It sucks, but they’re likely only telling us now because they were trying to fix the instability issue for early access launch and couldn’t.
No they’ll be available.
I’d rather them delay it than push something out that isn’t ready
Well it’s early access, it’s not the proper launch of housing, thats with 12.0.
They’re not going to delay early access because 1 feature isn’t ready, they’re just going to keep an eye on the stability and implement them when they can.
There’s really no benefit to being in a guild or private neighbourhood right away because none of the neighbourhood progression stuff is active until 12.0.
Not as bad as yours of “Just delay early access” lmao.
You’re still going to get your charter neighbourhood, it’s just delayed a bit. You’re not losing out on anything except being beside your friends for a few days/weeks.
I would prefer them to be open and honest and delay the release until it was complete. Delay the announcement until they are confident that they can deliver. It’s stuff like this that killed almost every single MMO and honestly many major titles–Overpromising, presales, and failing to deliver.
To be clear, I didn’t expect it to be free from bugs and lag. But, as somebody else said, some of us have been planning this chartered thing for a little while now and we’re just being told less than 24 hours prior to release that it’s not going to be available. People paid money for this.
This is super disappointing, would have preferred sooner notice ![]()
Your entitlement is bad, just period. It’s early access, you’ll be fine for a few weeks. It’s free to move and you don’t have to rebuild or anything. You’d complain if they released a buggy patch, kudos to them for recognizing that something wasn’t ready.
Are you kidding me?
God why do they manage to do everything the absolutely worst way imaginable?
First our guild leader cant pick a neighborhood because its locked to the guild faction (regardless of the GM) and they removed guild services so there is literally nothing we can do about it.
This sucks so much. Yet another thing to just suck the wind entirely out of the sails.
God forbid we want to be with our friends in a paid early access.
It’s hardly entitled that they happily collected preorder money for the early access, advertising features which were expected to be available per their marketing, then pulled the rug out at the last minute.
Oh hush, you were going to buy the expansion anyways. God forbid you have patience while they implement something massive and brand new.
W/e troll. The idea that I paid for something and with less than a days notice being told I wont be able to play with my friends for up to 2 months has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with what I would have purchased or not.
If it isnt ready, don’t release it. I didnt choose the date, they did.
Clearly the solution is to cancel the feature entirely.
They are, that’s what the blue post is about.
It’s early access, it’s not housing release.
The absolutely should not delay early access because 1 of 3 neighbourhood types won’t be available right away.
They are absolutely doing the right thing by letting us know now, when they already know that tomorrow is going to be a gong show because it’s one of, if not the most, complex system ever introduced to WoW.
Just make your house in a public neighbourhood and create the charter when they become available.
While I am bummed about the news that charters won’t be available when they said they would, I’m more concerned about the effects of these delays.
Since neighborhoods are supposed to have content and endeavors that are meant to “level up” and earn rewards for the housing etc, having delayed the charters means the private neighborhoods will experience set backs versus established neighborhoods on the first day of the access?
There are many new features and quest lines being implemented tomorrow, so I anticipate the delays as is consistent with past patches and updates, I’m just bummed there is a lack of communication about these features and silence from Blizzard versus having these questions and problems addressed with transparency.
It was advertised as a feature that would be available to those who purchased early access. And it was only disclosed that it would not be available less than 24 hours prior to the release.
