How is anyone supposed to get this when any player can come along and just mess it up?
I had the pool at 8/9/9
And as I went to get more yellow (cuz they’re rare and don’t spawn as often as the other colors) some idiot hunter rolls up and just tosses 3 red slimes in
The way I always manage it is to start with yellow at the north and get those 10 first then go for blue then red while asking in /s for players to go for straight 10s nicely.
Usually the guys doing the reds are there for that generic quest to dump some in the pool so doing those last most often ensures you can target Oily Invertebrate properly
Sorry to necro this thread, but I really hope the devs know just how much this whole thing sucks. I actually quit WoW entirely after farming this stupid thing for a couple of months. Either someone comes along and screws it up (by far the norm, even when enough people wanted to group for it) or you actually get the Oily Invertebrate to spawn and the quest item doesn’t drop. I can deal with a low drop rate but allowing other people who are either clueless to what you’re doing, or just an a**hole to be a gate to the only means of getting this specific cosmetic is just crappy planning.
