Does anyone know of an addon that can: keep track of an absorb like prismatic barrier with a bar that like “unfills” as it is used up? is there such a thing or similar?
W/o mousing over the buff I’m not aware of any way to know if the absorb is 90% still there or 2%…

Most unitframes track absorbs on the health bar, include the default Blizzard ones.
I was able to set up an absorb bar like you described using IceHud, but I’m sure there are other options as well. It wouldn’t surprise me to find a way to do in any any unit frame addons that give you lots of control. I’m sure you could also set something up with WeakAuras.
