It appears that after reset Priory was stealth buffed or buffed on accident. Multiple Guilds and discords talking about how it is nearly impossible to complete on anything above a 8-9 this week. Especially the second boss. Even with nearly 3m+ hps you just get wiped instantly without doing anything wrong. This dungeon was fine last week but today its a completely different dungeon. Please fix this.
We timed a 10 about 3.5 hours ago without issue. If there’s anything broken, it would have had to happen in hotfixes after that time.
It is still possible but much harder than last week for some reason.
We took less damage in our run tonight than we did in our first one at 10 there this past Thursday. Gotta be honest, this sounds like it could probably be attributed to not handling Devour correctly. Even one debuff being missed is a 10% buff to the mobs alongside a 20% damage reduction per stack. If multiple are going off, any pack is going to feel significantly more difficult.
Interesting. Packs weren’t really so much the problem as the second boss. That’s where things seem to fall apart
Wouldn’t call it broken but trash damage definitely feels like it got buffed or something.
2nd boss is where every group falls apart every week. Even harder with devoured because the boss is a heal check already.
2nd boss requires group to handle the pyre properly. It’s a completely different fight with people immuning the 5-spark pyres. I think a lot of groups have DKs who know what to do and trivialize that mechanic so you get into a different comp and it’s actually a thing.
Slammed it twice at +10 in my first 4 dungeon of the week for the quest. Didn’t see anything different than before. Second boss still works just like before.
I think this is the issue. That place already is rough to heal and if you happen to get in a group without dispels then there is a chance that your healer may not be able to get the devoured off in time.
I run multiple alts in healer tanks and dps and the amount of healers who let devour slip is shocking.
And not just missing 1-2 sometimes it’s the entire cycle.
I won’t disagree that some healers are probably slacking, but this is not exclusively a healer affix. If I’m not mistaken, the only classes that can’t clear their own are Rogues, Demon Hunters, Hunters, Warriors, and Death Knights. Warlocks can’t if their interrupt is more valuable than their dispel.
Everyone else should be getting their own, at the minimum, and can easily get one other to help out.
Oh for sure, I always dispel on my mage and other classes and specs that can but letting it go off multiple times especially during dangerous situations is silly.
100% agree, but I’m just saying that goes for everyone with a dispel/decurse/cleanse/etc. There is a really easy to see graphic for who has it even if you don’t have nameplates with debuffs on them, and the buff tracks how many are clear, so anyone who can do it should do it. Especially during dangerous situations when the healer may be compromised.
That boss has been casting the circles “castigators shield”, hammers and soak at same time in some keys, while in others it will not cast the circles at all making for an easy fight.
100%. As a Prot Paladin, I can solo soak 2 of the 5-orbs back to back with Spellwarding and Divine Shield.
hunters usually have emergency salve so they can also dispel themselves. DK can also pre ams the affix. you dont get one stack of the buff this way but it eliminates a dispel.
Nerf prot pally. You technically can solo soak 5 charge pyres. 2nd pyre - DS, 4th pyre - Spellward, 6th pyre - DS, 8th pyre - wipe (if you can’t kill boss at this point).
Do you actually have enough time to soak all 5 with the knockback though?
OMG, thank you! We thought it was us missing a mechanic. Only 1 person had done it on M+ before, the rest of us were learning.
The second boss kept 1 shotting all of us.
