The launch of a new World of Warcraft expansion is a highly anticipated event for many players. The opportunity to explore new zones, encounter fresh storylines, and discover the world’s secrets is a core part of the experience. However, the presence of the Darkmoon Faire reputation buff during the second week of the expansion can significantly skew player progression and create an unfair advantage for those who prioritize reputation grinding over story exploration.
To foster a more balanced and enjoyable experience for all players, I propose a one-time exception for the Darkmoon Faire reputation buff. Specifically, preventing the buff from affecting TWW reputations during the second week of the expansion (Sep. 1 - 7). This will allow players to fully immerse themselves in the new content without feeling pressured to optimize their gameplay for immediate reputation gains. Subsequent Darkmoon Faires can maintain their standard buff mechanics.
By temporarily disabling the buff for the second week, Blizzard can ensure a more equitable playing field and allow players to enjoy the game at their own pace. This change will also help to mitigate the negative impact of the buff on professions and gold making, which are crucial aspects of the early game experience.

No.
Just, No.
It makes no difference what so ever.
Zip.
Zero.
Goose egg.
The big bagel.
See, for the people that a 10% buff would make any substantial difference? They’re going to grind what they can grind anyway. You’re not going to “slow them down”.
Everyone else? Eh, free rep. “Yay!”

Worry less about what other people do.
If you want to take it slow and enjoy the story, by all means do so. If this expansion is like every other expansion your leveling isn’t timed to complete at the end of the story campaign, there’s usually about a zone’s worth of story left by the time you hit max level even with no XP buff.
Some people won’t touch the quests at all and will just faceplant into dungeons until they hit the new cap.
Happy Sunday anyway.

Go get buff. Go quest. What’s the problem here?
Also: stop using ChatGPT to write for you.

That’s such a petty thing to complain about. Just play the game. Good grief.

I didn’t, but okay. The problem is that if you want to “maximize” rep gain you should really hold off on as many quests as possible till you get can get the Darkmoon Faire buff. The rep gains give access to profession recipes which is tied to early gold making. I want to be able to participate in the story without knowing I’m hindering my ability to gain gold. People like to engage with the game in different ways and one of the stated goals is to make the game better for everyone. This is one easy way for them to achieve this.
Don’t worry. The people that you are worried about using the buff to get ahead are already going to be ahead of you one way or another. The only thing that removing the buff would do is make it even harder for you (and players like you) to catch up.

No one is waiting two weeks to do quests when they’ve got season 1 starting right after the Faire.
Those people will already be miles ahead of you. That DMF buff isn’t going to change that.
Also: the DMF buff has previously been limited to older content and not new season stuff.
Mountain out of a mole hill.

Please delay the game by a week because people will play the game for a week and progress. Thanks.
stop being so competitive - you types ruin the game for others because you are constantly controlled by your need to compete.
how about you not worry about other players and just worry about yourself.
YOU do not get to tell ME what I think is immersive. get over yourself.

Hmmm, Early Access this week, release next, DMF the following Sunday, yeah, you might need that 10% boost to catch up with those that have early access, even if they are not rushing.
How is a 10% reputation buff making an experience for anyone less enjoyable? This sounds like a made-up problem that you conjured up in your own imagination and that not one other single person in the world is worried about other than you.
The answer is no.

Do Humans still have their Diplomacy racial?
i dont think so if they do they only have a week left for it
Oh wow, Humans are getting Diplomacy removed/lost Diplomacy?
yes for a shorter cd on hearthstones
and it was due to warband also
No. That got removed and replaced with having 2 hearthstone charges and a shorter cooldown…which is nowhere near equal.
