And have half the cooldown. Or something.
I want to like Necrolords, but this is so janky.
Made even worse when the majority of Torghast abilities are more-or-less useless because of how janky it is to use.
Note: I play Enhancement. I understand that it works with Elemental. It clearly was not designed with us in mind, and it shows.

Cause that wouldn’t bust Fire Nova at all…
Tbh the ability just doesn’t work for enh and genuinely just need a redesign for that spec. It works completely against hailstorm, it just doesn’t make any sense at all.

BRING ME IMPERATOR MARGOK AGAIN
i don’t see any issues here
What’s wrong with having something a little busted? Throw an AoE cap on there (assuming it doesn’t have one?) and we’ll be fine.
This would literally be gamebreaking lol. It is target capped already at 6 targets, but has no limit on flame shocks. So pull 20 mobs, flameshock them all and fire nova, each of the 20 fire novas hitting 6 mobs, on top of a lightning bolt hitting every mob, on top of maybe you press wolves and roll double fire, on top of mastery procs or on use trinkets? Enh would be bursting for 100k in aoe. They would have to nerf fire nova into nothingness, which would make it 10x worse than it already is for every other covenant.
Again, the covenant just doesn’t work with enh, it needs a redesign from the ground up.

Actually, I’ve found that Hailstorm is like the Only thing that works well with it.
It doesn’t incur the shock cooldown allowing you to keep flame shock up, hit a 5 stack maelstrom lb, and then Hailstorm.
I want to be Necrolord, the mount, zone, Fleshcraft, and armor are all really cool. P.wave just lacks.
I switched to Venthyr and melt packs while healing 10k crits.
In aoe the ability is useless with hailstorm because you’re never pressing flame shock. You can get it on one target sure, but you would prefer to have it on 3-4 in an aoe pack
Automatically spread it to 3-4, then.
Would I agree that it needs a redesign? Sure. But that’s not going to happen in the released game. We need to find a way to make it useable with the current iteration that doesn’t reinvent the wheel, even if the wheel we’re working with is square.
Here’s an idea - remove Flame Shock from it entirely. Make it a disease. For 15 seconds, all Lightning Bolts hit all afflicted with it.
The tab-targetting multidotting is way too janky to constantly be playing around with Flame Shock to be fun.

So you want to massively buff what is already the strongest covenant for Ele and Resto…
Good luck selling that one.
Not saying it’s the best or only solution. But something needs to be done.
Removing it from Flame Shock functionality entirely sticks out to me as a good solution.
Just needs to be changed so that it also works with chain lightning

that’s literally what makes it good for ele.
realistically this ability is only a problem for enhance because rather than giving it a spec-specific interaction they just lazily ported one over – which is a problem across the board for covenant abilities.
You still need to replace that functionality with something (I like the idea of a disease, given that it’s a natural form of death and fits the Shaman theme). The multidotting Flame Shock just doesn’t work well with Enhancement, so replace it with something that works for both.
Removing the multidotting FS aspect would most likely make it useless for Ele. Its also basically the only reason it works with Resto as well.
The flame shock interaction is a massive part of why it’s good for ele.
They just need to rework it for enh tbh. Make it do something like apply a flameshock, and then your next Stormstrike hits all targets 180° in front of the sham. I don’t think this would be too different from the ele/resto ones to be too difficult to change

That’s essentially what we have with Crash Lightning already.
Maybe make your next Stormstrike apply Flame Shock to anything in cleave?
