Primalist changes

In the latest cinematic, we see Fyrakk getting more unstable, even attacking Vyranoth briefly. And yet she talks him down. Fyrakk can still be reasoned with while fully imbued with Shadowflame. Meanwhile, Deathwing went over the edge after consuming only part of it.

And with the disk containing Galakrond’s hunger, Irridikron went into a Void portal with Xal’atath. He might not be as aggressive as Fyrakk, but he’s more uncompromising.

Both brothers are dabbling in the Void and they’re both partial copy-pastes of Deathwing. Do you think either brother could be redeemed? Will Vyranoth turn good?

Thoughts?

Deathwing dealt with the maddening effects of shadow flame for years, Fyrakk is cracking after weeks

Deathwing only consumed part of it. Fyrakk took the full force. Could that be a factor too?

I suppose it could be. Deathwing also had an old god leaning directly on his brain and so far the only one in Fyrakk’s mind is himself.

When you step back and look at it, it’s impressive that Neltharion held it together as long as he did.

Since we know yog’saron, as of legion, is still somewhat active in ulduar, my theory is he’s bidding his time and waiting for the shadow flames to weaken fyrakk more before manipulating him.

Only thing I have to go off of is yog’sarons whispers in ulduar during legion and shadow flame’s connection to the void. But when fyrakk whispers Let us in it sounds like the guy has more than one voice in his head at the moment

I will be eternally shocked if this ever happens in WoW’s story lol

Ironically the closest example I can think of to a redemption arc is the Death Knights.

I know about Sylvanas’ “redemption”, but it was so poorly written (except the part where Tyrande gets involved) and based on writer favoritism and plot armor, I denounce it.

I think that’s what makes these characters interesting.

In the recent cinematic, while Fyrakk is interrogating the Green Dragon, there’s a scene where he says “Just let me in.” During this portion of the cinematic however, his voice alters and his eyes begin to glow purple.

I think this is more an indication of the Void wanting access to the Emerald Dream, and corrupting the seed, than Fyrakk wanting an increase in power.

His power surely increased with the absorption of the Shadowflame, but he’s never really shown the full potential of this. There really hasn’t been that “I crave more powa!!!” scene, so it feels more void seeking than anything else.

However, he is infused with the Shadowflame, there’s really no coming back from that, surely the Void wouldn’t want to let such a vessel go-- so unless there’s some divine intervention by Elune, the titans or some other cosmic being, he’s probably a goner.

Something interesting with his character though, is the fact that he was still capable of reasoning. He could end up having an internal conflict if the Void tries to take over his mind by force.

As for Iridikron, he may be working with the Void, but he’s shown to not make personal sacrifices. He’s not adsorbed any void infusion, infinite shenanigans, or any other cosmic force to my knowledge.

While I don’t think he will be redeemed, I do think he would be the least likely to die this expansion due to showing a level of respect to the strength of our PCs.

Vyranoth seems likely to turn on Fyrakk once she witnesses the extent of his destruction.

However, there is a possibility that she won’t turn “good,” and they will add a bit of a twist (to Blizzard’s standards) and she will go full vengeance if we just put down Fyrakk right away because story wise, we are still Titan backing god killers.

Deathwing was an Aspect…which meant that he was juggling a lot more than Fyrakk.

Neltharion was also bolstered with a blessing directly from the titans, Fyraak… not so much. Shadowflame is definitely worming its way into his brain. He began hearing whispers the moment he absorbed it, and he seems quite amicable to doing what they want to do.

Vyranoth I see turning anti-hero. She won’t be on our side, but she will not be willing to go to the depths of depravity her siblings were. Ultimately, she is on Azeroth’s side.

Fyrakk has sold out to the Druids of the Flame and Vyranoth has joined us.

The Druids of the Flame seek to turn the World Tree into a World Tree of the Flame without destroying it in hopes of turning all the Night Elves into Night Elves of the Flame.

We will be seeing not a Burning Forest in the new Zone but a Fire Forest unharmed by the Flame it is infused with.

In otherwords that Primalists win Future is the result of the Primalists corrupting everything with the Elements due to Void Whispers.

How interesting… So what I am ultimately seeing is the Void trying to claim the Dream again. It tried once with the Nightmare, then a direct assault from the Cosmic Void in BFA, this time it means to infuse it with Shadowflame using Fyraak as its chosen tool to do so.

From my understanding, it was the beginning of the end for Neltharion when he accepted the Shadowflame. It wasn’t just ‘Insta-Deathwing kawabunga’ – but an unchecked darkness that spread through & consumed him overtime.

As what we saw from various content, we see that Neltharion thought he could attain control & dominion over the darkness, however as we know – The darkness LET him think that, and gave him the pseudo upper-hand whilst leading him further & further down the dark path.

Hubris & Pride were the first sins the void enhanced to make him a viable puppet, from there they tugged the strings of his hunger for wrath and then amplified his greed for making him to want both of those more comfortable (I recall reading somewhere he wanted an ideal world of the Black Dragonflight as rulers, with Alexstrasza & Ysera as his consorts).

Do bare in mind as well, that Deathwing overstepped & cheesed off the Old Gods with his hunger for more power (Trying to claim the Dragonsoul for himself) – A similar story may unfold with Fyrakk, who we have been told tends to have a hunger for power a lot.

Deathwing was corrupted over time by the Old Gods contacting him and the Dragon Soul was what was tearing him apart initially with it’s Shadowflame.

He wasn’t exposed to Shadowflame again until Cataclysm and during the interim had regained his Sanity. He used the Prototype Armor the Faceless invented inside Aberrus and it tore him apart shattering his Sanity a second time this time more permanently.
